About this property
RiggsideKeswick, Modern, Spacious, Gardens, Parking & Panoramic Mountain Views.
Set in a residential area on a private road, RiggsideKeswick is an attractive, modern spacious semi-detached property, providing a high standard of accommodation at any time of the year with spectacular open views of Skiddaw and the Borrowdale Valley, and lovely garden areas.
Portinscale is a small hamlet just ten minutes walk by an off-road footpath in to Keswick town centre. Portinscale has a pub, a bistro, tearooms and two marinas, with facilities for both hire and instruction for water sports. Portinscale is an ideal base for a walking holiday. Just a very few of the possibilities nearby are the Newlands Valley, the Coledale Horseshoe, the Allerdale Ramble, Causey Pike, Catbells or a gentle stroll along the shores of Derwentwater.
Keswick offers a host of shops, restaurants, pubs, cinema and live theatre, and activities such as lake cruises, golf and tennis can also be enjoyed - all without getting in the car. Keswick offers some of the finest walking in the Lake District National Park, from the high tops of Skiddaw and Helvellyn to the smaller summits of Latrigg and Whinlatter Forest for every member of the family.
Accommodation: Entrance hallway with space for coats and shoes, and doors leading off to all downstairs rooms and stairs leading up to first floor. To the left is the sitting room decorated in contemporary colours with electric feature fireplace, 46" Smart TV, DVD, Wi-Fi broadband access, iPod docking station and panoramic fell views. To the right of the hall is a cloakroom (basin and wc).
To the rear of the house is the large kitchen diner (32" flat screen TV) with additional comfy seating area looking out on to the back garden. There are two sets of French doors leading out on to the patio area, one from the dining area and one from the seating area, making this a really light and airy room.
Upstairs on the first floor there are three bedrooms - the master bedroom with king-size bed and panoramic fell views, remote control flame effect electric fire, 28" flat screen TV, en-suite shower room with basin, wc and heated towel rail; neat twin room with fell views and a double room to the rear. Family bathroom with bath with shower over, basin, wc and heated towel rail.
There is a fourth bedroom up a further flight of stairs leading to a spacious attic room, which has two velux windows and twin beds with excellent views to the front and rear of the property (when the property is let to six people or less this bedroom is locked off).
The house has a really welcoming feel and is comfortably and thoughtfully decorated throughout, with co-ordinating soft furnishings, fitted carpets and solid flooring. Gas central heating and hot water on demand.
