With lots of good information we had no difficulty in finding the cottage, getting in, finding shops, and though we didn't need doctor, dentist or hospital, the info was there should the need have arisen. We loved the quiet, the river walk and the ease of getting to places of interest, sea side, castles, beautiful scenery. We had a lovely stay in this little home from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Riverside Cottage! It is small, but cozy, and had plenty of room for the four of us. The location, while remote, was beautiful and close enough to enjoy visiting all the castles, gardens, and seaside villages, as well as Snowdonia! Those of you not used to driving on small rural roads in the UK might be a bit concerned by some of the narrow roads leading to the cottage, but we found that there was generally little traffic on them.
We found the cottage stocked with all the kitchen pots, pans, and dishes we needed. The bathroom has been completely updated and was beautiful. The second bedroom is small, but our two daughters (16 and 21) really enjoyed it.
I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Stunning property nestled in the Welsh countryside
Thec cottage is perfectly located for touring around North Wales. The kitchen is very well equipped with not only the expected white goods but also a slowcooker and recipe book. The whole feel of the cottage is conducive to shopping for all the required ingredients, popping them in and returning later to light the log burner and snuggle down for the evening..The cottage is furnished in a traditional fashion with a sofa and easy chair by the fire. There is a dining table and four chairs in the space beneath the stairs. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs-both tastefully decorated and a modern bathroom with shower over the bath..The bedlinen and towels are high quality..Overall this cottage is extremely cosy and comfortable and I would highly recommend staying there if a trip to North Wales is on the agenda.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Highs and lows
Absolutely beautiful country side, every lane lovely and quiet.
The cottage not so, barking dog next door at 5.45 to 6.30am most mornings, was not clear in the listing there was no back garden, to say the place was pet friendly.Very bad WiFi. Would not stream very good.
Felt damp rather cold.
Lovely bathroom.beds very comfy.
few unclean areas.and a bit of a strange smell in the air
Would not stay again in the cottage
But would stay again in the area
This is to be helpful not fault finding

Thank you for taking the time to review our cottage and we are sorry you did not enjoy your stay.
When booking the cottage we are frequently asked questions by potential guests, but we are aware that no questions were asked by you prior to your stay. We do not advertise the cottage as having a garden, and guests have previously enquired regarding this aspect, to which we have always given an honest reply. When we are aware guests are bringing their dogs we do try point out that there isn’t a garden attached which enables them to make an informed choice whether to proceed with the booking or not. In your case we were not aware you were planning to bring two dogs.
The Wi-Fi is adequate for general internet and streaming video for television, we are aware that it is not fast Wi-Fi – for specialist use such as gaming. High speed broadband is not yet available to us at this time, apologies we were not asked the question prior to your arrival.
The central heating has a boiler which is only three years old. We are not aware of any issues with the heating; in fact we noticed that when we arrived this morning it was warm – the thermostat displaying a room temperature of 23.7 degrees Centigrade. There is also a log burner available, which we note you did not use during your stay. We are particularly concerned at your comment regarding a ‘few unclean areas’ as we service the cottage ourselves and take great pride in our standards of cleanliness – we would please request that you contact us directly via message to highlight these areas so we can address them. The strange smell you note may be following the deep clean which we have to complete at every changeover. If you note from our comprehensive risk assessment, provided prior to your holiday, we have to utilise cleaning items which conform to EN14476 as per recommendation of the Professional Association of Self Catering Accommodation. We apologise if you were sensitive to these particular types of cleaning items, but other guests have thanked us for making them feel safe.
Once again we are sorry that you felt you could not enjoy your stay at our cottage.

Once again we visited this lovely very clean little cottage, & we enjoyed staying there comfy & cosy. It’s a great area for our dog, she loved playing in river. Short drive to Rhyl and Llandudno! Great parking area for the car. Neighbour’s are friendly too, some of them are lovely. The owners have a wonderful property and they keep it to a very high standard, for the visitors. Thank you for letting us stay.

Beautiful little cottage. Very comfortable and all the necessary tools and equipment to make our stay enjoyable. Fabulous surroundings and easy access to motorways etc. for venturing further afield. Lots of information left in the cottage with times, contact numbers for various amenities i.e. doctors, vets, dentist shops etc. If you want to escape the rat race and have peace and quiet this is the place for you.

What a wonderful cottage, the place was spotlessly clean! When you walked in through the door, the cottage seemed to welcome you, it felt like a home! Everything you needed was there, the bathroom has a excellent shower, & the bedrooms are nice and comfortable too! Safe off the road parking. All set in a beautiful hamlet. The owners are helpful & very nice.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the cottage is very nice and was the ideal base for day trips around the area, the little river down the road was nice to cool down the feet after a day exploring Denbighshire. The Co Op in St Asaph had all we needed. The only down side was that the lovely chiming clock kept Hubby awake as he is a light sleeper and it's chiming every 30 minutes was not for him, little one and I slept through it though. Neighbours were very friendly and helpful. Communication with Gwenda and David was easy and effective. Thanks for making us feel welcome and letting us stay there.

We travelled from the South, 4 hours on the car. We were tired. We got on the narrow dark roads in Wales, it was dusking. In the shadow of the Moon we have found the cottage. What a welcome It was! Indeed! A lovely neighbour offering help if needed. Inside the cottage small Welsh gifts to make us feel like at home. All so clean and on the right places. And the flowers in the vase. All our tiredness was gone. We were home. We slept very well, it took us few days to appreciate the birds singing at the dawning. Thank you for sharing with us the charm of Wales, its beauty and mystery. We will be back here again and again. The cottage is beautiful.

Lovely charming cottage, very clean with very good facilities, even a dish washer and WiFi. All we needed provided. Dave and Gwenda are very quick at responding to any questions. A good base to visit the attractions and explore North Wales. Only 10 minutes from St Asaph for shopping at the co op and the plough pub if you don’t want to cook. Very nice food and good service. Thanks for a great holiday.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely, compact but very well equipped cottage. It was super clean and all the kitchen equipment seemed brand new. Our dog loved the bed under the stairs. We were blessed with good weather so made plenty of use of the little terrace at the front to sit and eat outside.
Communication with the owners was fantastic and they were quick to respond to a small query we had during our stay.
The cottage is well placed for visiting a wide range of interesting places throughout North Wales.
Overall we would highly recommend it as a lovely place to stay.
