Across from State Park | Hot Tub, Views & 2 Min to Nashville 3BR, 2BA
Timberview…What a View !!! Timberview is located across St. Rd. 46 from the west gate of Brown County State Park. Hike, swim and horseback ride all day in the park. Then enjoy a picnic meal on the spacious deck and take in the spectacular view. You may even see a deer at dusk!
From the moment you turn onto the private, tree canopied lane and follow it to the end of the ridge, you will be keenly aware you have arrived at a special destination…. Timberview Cabin. Within moments, yesterday’s stresses will be a distant memory.
Timberview is easy to find and conveniently located only 2 miles from downtown Nashville and 20 minutes to Bloomington/IU, yet this vacation lodge is private and peaceful. This cabin can sleep eight guests. It has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a cozy den with a queen bed. This vacation home is perfect for family get-togethers/reunions, ladies only shopping trips and romantic getaways.
Timberview cabin is surrounded by beautiful Yellowwood Forest with hiking trails just footsteps away. You will feel your inner-spirit regenerate as you experience this rustic, secluded setting with awe-inspiring views.
Gather everyone into the sunken timbered Grand Room for lively conversation or enjoy the 46" flat screen and blue ray player while you savor the fantastic view from your own rocking chair. Then take the night chill off by getting cozy around the mammoth wood burning Brown County stone fireplace. There is a full kitchen and the large dining room table will seat everyone for meals, games and fun! The master bedroom, with adjoining full bath, has a 46" smart tv so you can watch some Netflix until you fall asleep. There's also a cozy den with a queen bed and just around the corner is a full bath.
Timberview is in the middle of a "transformation" in the lower level if you have been there before (photos are the project underway). Once you descend the spiral staircase, there WAS a hallway concept with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The renovation is on going and the lower level is now one big open concept of a game room with a 65" smart tv, ping pong table and corn hole. Take some time to enjoy the gorgeous view out the new windows! As you walk through the doorway, step up and you will find the bunk room with two sets of bunk beds. They have a queen bed on the bottom and a single on top.

The home was very spacious, but I had my elderly parents (with walkers) and it would have been helpful to know there were steps once we got in the home from the living space to the bedrooms. It met our bed needs and space for everyone to eat together.

We are so glad you all enjoyed your stay at Timberview. We do have great pictures on our website and one does show a few steps down to the living room, but we are always available to answer questions for future bookings. Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to your booking with us for your next visit.
My family of 8 adults stayed here over the Christmas holiday. Beautiful layout, the fireplace is amazing. The cabin could use some maintenance though, especially the sliding glass door. It’s a two man job to open and close that thing. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was really nice as well as the view from pretty much every window. Christmas magic definitely happened here.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. We do provide a great list of what to bring, and those items were on it. We know a lot of vrbo /airbnb are one home one owner, but we have over 117 cabins and all different owners, so it is why we provide that list for the guests. We look forward to your coming back again soon.

View is amazing! House overall all good but hot tub filters were so dirty and have not been cleaned
Fire extinguishers have not been serviced since 2013!!!! View worth renting, Family loved the hot tub after we cleaned it. Beautiful home needs some updates but we enjoyed our visit minus a few very important things that needed to be corrected!

Thank you for the review. I wanted to let you know that the fire extinguishers were bought and dated 2013. However, they are checked and inspected every year and the pressure is still in the "green zone". Glad that you enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again soon.
We had a great time at Timberview. It was large enough to enjoy time together, as well as offer privacy and quiet places. The hot tub and back deck were great features that were well used. It was a great location...peaceful, beautiful, relaxing and quiet...just what our family needed. Sunrise was beautiful! Not to mention the fun with the pool table and darts.
We found the toaster not working, let the managing group know, and then within a few hours we had a nice, new toaster from the owner plus a new microwave which we did not even mention. (it was time to upgrade, but didn't even think about it) The owner was wonderful, friendly and noninvasive.
The house is older, but charming and eclectic. We loved many of the antique like features.
Having said all that, there are definitely some matters that need attending. (These did NOT ruin our time there at all, but need to be mentioned.) The master bathroom bathtub leaks nonstop and the toilet takes a while to flush and then makes all kids of plumbing noises when it does. The deck was freshly power washed, which made it look nice, but proved to be very splintery - dangerous to walk bare footed or to lean on the railing. The inside cleaning is only surface deep. If you look under/behind any bed, in the window sills, under any furniture you find years of dead bugs and dust. Most of the bedding was not very nice, and some had mildew stains on it. The couch and love seat have seen their better days too. Refrigerator was rather small for a house that can hold 8 people.
Overall, we loved the place and would likely consider it again in the future. But would have to say that the worn out features and dirt is not what we'd expect from a VRBO rental. We could NOT give a 5 star rating.
