This is one of the best Vrbo we have used. It was clean and well furbished with all the amenities you would need in a home away from home. Located in a nice neighborhood close to restaurants and shopping. Definitely would recommend this Vrbo if you're going to Redlands, CA.
I had a fantastic stay and will definitely return. The hosts are incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful. Communication was seamless, and the space was spotless, comfortable, and inviting. The backyard is stunning — even better than the photos — and I loved the fresh oranges from the backyard. The location is ideal, close to major attractions and great restaurants. The hosts go above and beyond with thoughtful recommendations and genuine care for their guests’ experience. I highly recommend staying here.
Such a sweet place to stay, and I'd love to return. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Everything I needed was there, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was walking distance to town and the historic neighborhood is what makes Redlands special.
If ever a rental deserved its perfect rating, this is it. The hosts have thought of everything; the guest house has everything you could possibly need, with extra consideration paid to ensuring guest comfort. If there is anything you need, the hosts are cheerful, pleasant and readily accomodating while still respecting guest privacy. The location affords easy access to numerous grocery stores and restaurants, and they even put together a guest binder full of helpful recommendations for anything you might need or want (so that you don't have to learn through trial and error). I would heartily endorse this rental; you will not be disappointed
I'm a repeat guest because this space is well appointed, comfortable, easy to access, and a lovely oasis. Kitty and Bill are responsive and around during the evenings.
Cozy, quiet, and cute! Close to a bunch of fun restaurants and bars downtown. Kitty was an amazing host and promptly replied to any questions I had. Definitely recommend going to this cute charming little guest house!
We had a lovely time .. Kitty and Bill is property beautifully maintained. Great mornings drinking coffee and listening to the birds. Cant wait to come back
We had such a relaxing time here. Swimming in the pool was such a treat, and the unit was stocked with everything we needed. Great location not far from the Olive Market for morning coffee too!
This is a sweet studio above the garage with access to a lovely backyard pool. It was perfect for move-in weekend with my daughter, a new student at U of R
Another five-star stay with VRBO! Redlands Guesthouse was absolutely perfect for our visit to the area—peaceful, quiet, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The guesthouse itself is charming, but what truly sets it apart are the hosts. They were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
I was looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay and this little guest house exceeded my expectations. It has character and is located in a beautiful part of historic Redlands. Just large enough for 1 person for a week stay. Great kitchen amenities. Lovely garden and pool and wonderful to walk around the neighborhood. I needed a quiet place to think and write and this place was perfect. Highly recommend.
We had the best time staying at the Redlands Guesthouse. Great location, prompt attention by the host and a very efficient welcoming room at the end of a long day.
Kathryns listing was an excellent choice for my partner and I's visit to Riverside! The space was clean and the amenities were great to soak in after a long day in the area. I would highly recommend this lodging and when I return to the area, this is where I'll be staying!

About the host
Hosted by Kathryn Huff
Hi! Are you new to Redlands? Me, too! My husband and I moved here in August, 2019, and we couldn't be happier with this property, neighborhood, and town. Redlands rocks! I teach writing at the University of Redlands and at Point Loma Nazarene University, so I have a soft spot for writers and other artists. My husband and I sing in the Redlands Community Chorus, and we are active in our church. We LOVE practicing hospitality and want to make sure your experience in our guesthouse is one that makes you want to return again and again. We look forward to meeting you!
Why they chose this property
These are a few of my favorite things: 1. This property has CHARACTER! She's a grand old dame, and will be 100 years old in 2025. Architectural beauty abounds. 2. Mature trees! Redlands is known for its trees, and our property is a showcase for grand trees. We have stately palm, Chinese elm, orange, pomegranate, and redwood trees, all providing dappled shade, coolness, and privacy. 3. Light and treetop views! The many windows in the Redlands Guesthouse flood it with an airy, treehouse feeling that makes me just want to stare out the windows for hours or curl up with a book OR get outside and enjoy all that sun!
What makes this property unique
Artist's Retreat! Because I am a writer, I know the importance of having a room of your own at times for creative pursuits. The Redlands Guesthouse is ideal for an artist's retreat where you can work on your project. Special artist's discount upon approval of sample work and description of your project.
Romantic Getaway! ALSO, my husband and I are romantics, and if you're there with your special someone, you'll find the Redlands Guesthouse--and Redlands in general--to be a great place to nurture and rekindle your love for each other. We're picking up a hot tub this week, and it should be installed soon, hopefully by the time you arrive! The backyard at night is magical, with tiki torches, strings of lights, fire pit, and a fountain. Walk to a romantic restaurant, or grill steaks on the outdoor bbq. XO!
Busman's Holiday! FINALLY, I know that sometimes you just have to work out of town, right? Well, the Redlands Guesthouse provides the privacy and connectivity you'll need to get the job done. Plus, just ask, and I'll be happy to copy, scan, print, or fax for you (small jobs only. For larger jobs, we have printing centers nearby). We're close to ESRI, the University of Redlands, and several area hospitals if you need to do business with any of those places.
