Thanksgiving retreat

Lovely place to stay

Perfect place for our little family of 4 (two kids ages 5 and 2) to stay while visiting Kansas City. Clean and stocked with essentials to get us started. Vanessa was a great communicator.

Very nice home

Very nice home for our vacation with the grandkids. Fabulous mattresses for sleeping! Vanessa was great to work with and very responsive. Would recommend this property.

Excellent location & well equipped

You can’t ask for a more quiet and safe place in a great location. Everything you need or want to do is just a short easy drive. Victoria has everything you need - comfortable beds, tons of fluffy towels, well equipped kitchen with Keurig. She even has a water filter pitcher so you don’t have to bring bottled water. I definitely would stay again the next time we’re in the area.

Overland Park Stay

We booked 3 nights May 20-22, 2025. The outside looked nice but the inside was not. The downstairs had a terrible odor, probably from a dirty oven, vent hood and just poor general cleaning. There was an empty can of air freshener though. The microwave didn’t work but the property manager had it replaced by 9:30 the first morning. Then we discovered the refrigerator was not cooling. Maintenance guy said it was freezing up. It was finally replaced late afternoon the day before we left. The bath mats had not been washed. However, the manager did have new ones delivered along with new cans of air freshener our 3rd day. Most of the furniture was in poor shape. I’m pretty sure the mattress pads on the beds had not been washed because when I stripped the bed I had slept in, there was a nasty spot it and one of the pillows. The overall all cleanliness of the unit was very poor. LVF flooring in downstairs was nice but carpet upstairs was very worn and dirty looking. In general the unit was pretty beat up and it wasn’t just from luggage hitting the main walk areas. Also, the back sliding glass door lock was broken. We didn’t discover that until after going through a night with it unlocked. Had to rummage around in the basement for something to block it from being opened. In general, I think the cleaning crew was just poor quality and no quality control.

Good Value for the Price

The property manager is very good. Prompt answers and professional. House was stocked very well with nice quality towels and new amenities. The floor plan was great with a table to seat 8 and 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. The house did smell like smoke, especially upstairs in the master bedroom. The bathrooms and tub/shower as well as kitchen counters and appliances were nice and clean but the kitchen floor caused our feet to turn black. The area rug and carpets need shampooed. Other than the flooring being gross we enjoyed our stay and it was convenient with having 3 kids. Good value for the price.

Thanksgiving Week Visit

My wife, adult daughter and I were visiting my son and our 3 grandkids for Thanksgiving. We were looking to rent a property that would give us plenty of room, especially for a Thanksgiving dinner for 7. Had a great 5 nights in KC! .Accommodations were awesome! Clean and spacious. All amenities first class. All requests to Vanessa handled promptly. Would definitely stay again on future visits.

A great place to stay!

This is a short easy drive to the Crown Plaza/downtown area. The updates are very nice. Our stay was for medical reasons, so we didn't get out much, but made one trip to JJ Steakhouse. It was awesome! All our other meals were cooked on the property and the kitchen was well stocked. Beds were amazing!

Excellent Home, Great KC Location!

Our family spent almost 5 weeks in this VRBO. We had 2 adults and 3 kids. We were in town for my wife to work and also to visit with family/friends. This home is in a very quiet neighborhood and centrally located to the Plaza, downtown KC, Prairie Village, and Johnson County. It is an older home but recently renovated and remodeled. During our 5-week stay we had a few repair issues but both Vanessa and Jason were very responsive and immediately took care of the problems that arose. They have several rental units on this block and you can always count on seeing them present in the neighborhood from putting the garbage out at the curb to planting grass seed in the yard. They stock the unit with toiletries and were willing to be accommodate our needs. For example, I wanted the garage and laundry room for our stay and they made it possible. There are several great parks in the area and this unit is 1-mile from a Target/Hyvee and several restaurants. The beds were very comfortable! My only complaint was that these units are duplexes with little insulation within the walls. We did have a few neighbors during our long stay that were loud and inconsiderate. If you want a great unit in a central KC location, look no further!

Clean home in central location!

We stayed at the rental for a few short days visiting family and the location was ideal! It's close to Target, gas stations, restaurants, coffee shops, IKEA, etc. The house was clean and fit our family of 7 perfectly! ---There was an issue with one of the bathroom doors when we arrived, but we contacted the owner and she sent maintenance over immediately to fix the door! --- The owner is very responsive (literally responds within minutes) and is a great host. I would highly recommend this property if you plan on visiting KC!
