This was a great last-minute find for a ski weekend. The location was super convenient for getting to Catamount, which made our trip really easy!Michael was very responsive and quick to address the few fixable issues we ran into, which we appreciated. The bed was a bit creaky and a couple of the lights weren’t working properly, but overall we had a great stay and would definitely consider coming back.
Beautiful location and views. Apartment is smaller than seems in the photos (only ground floor). Small kitchen with limited tools so don’t plan on cooking big meals. Cozy with electric fireplace, but bring slippers for the cold floor! Overall great experience for the price
This was the perfect spot for a little getaway. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing and so tastefully decorated. And the location was so peaceful and beautiful. The view from the apartment was breathtaking, with a beautiful sweeping grassy hill and lovely pond to walk around. The checkin was super easy and the host communicated with me well.
My husband and I came to Copake to elope, and our time here was simply amazing. This property is absolutely gorgeous and made for such a beautiful weekend and stunning photos! Michael was a great host, and was quick to respond!
We can’t wait to come back ♥️
I loved everything about this place! This was a working trip. I needed to get a bunch done in a private setting. It was exactly what I needed/wanted!I accomplished everything I went there to do and even had some time for cocktails and pool at the Clock Tower! And to add to it all, there is the Chief Martindale Diner!Thank you Michael! Your place is awesome! I highly recommend it!

Thank you, Richard! Welcome back anytime you want. Great guest!!
Nice country side with lots of recreational opportunities. Very rural and quiet. Did rain a lot so felt a little damp as an open basement apartment. Could’ve used a better coffee maker. Don’t do Keurig. Waste of plastic using pods.
We just returned home after spending 6 nights on this beautiful tranquil setting for our anniversary! You can enjoy your time walking on the property, having your tea looking at the birds and the pond and enjoying nature. The sunsets are spectacular. The location is close to Bash Bish Falls, Hillsdale and Rodgers Book Barn. You can easily spend time in Great Barrington, attend a play in Stockbridge and explore the whole Berkshire area. Your host Mike is very attentive if you have a question and at the same time respects the guests’ need for privacy. Highly recommend.
Quiet, private retreat with beautiful country views
This property overlooks open fields with a pond, hillsides, and a tree farm across the road. If you want a quiet area where you can watch the sun set from chairs on the outside patio and watch the stars come out, this is it. There are separate sitting areas, and a firepit below the house with chairs as well. The unit was clean, and questions responded to. No issues with check in or check out.

No heat with single digit temps outside
No refrigerator for drinks. no heat, (59 degrees at the hottest with heat on from electric fireplace . Portable heater for bedroom and bathroom broken. Driveway not plowed and icy. Great views.
This property is so so lovely!!! My partner and I stayed here for the weekend as we had activities planned in town/the nearby area- but we almost wish we spent more time JUST relaxing at the house. We were able to have a campfire one night and the view was incredible, I don’t think we’ve ever seen so many stars and it was so quiet!
The view from the front of the house is also breathtaking. It’s such a beautiful home, inside and out. Very clean, the couch and bed were super comfortable. Had all the basic appliances we needed. One thing I only wish would have been available was a freezer. The host was also super supportive and responsive. The location was reasonable as well as it’s close to town where there’s restaurants/small stores. We already talked about returning to the area in the future and we would 100% book to stay here again!
Peace and quiet and stargazing and a beautiful area. Inside, bring an eye mask as the shades will not block out much sun, if you are more than one person bring an extra bath tower or two, toilet paper was one ply. No tissues No freezer. Owner apologized for missing our request for an orientation to restaurants and attractions in the area. Internet did not work on the third and fourth day. All that being said, we really enjoyed our stay because the area is just gorgeous. We came for the Perseid meteor shower and the sky was dark. Knowing what we know now and have shared with you, if the Internet problem was solved we would stay again.
The views are gorgeous that photos will never justify. The ad is as described and is beautiful on the inside. My only complaint is that the unfortunate 40 cleaning fee for renters does not show well; there was a clump of hair left in the shower and the A/C filter was disgustingly full of dust. I cleaned both. I truly would stay here again though! It's so relaxing and I love how close it is to hiking trails and historical sites. Michael, host, was never heard and doesn't bother you at all lol. I appreciate a host around that isn't on top of you. He answers within the day if you have questions. Thanks Michael for the stay! Beautiful property!

So, I will start off by saying the location of this apartment is very nice. The area and the views are great and the price is reasonable. Those are the positives. That being said, the dates we stayed here were very hot, probably the hottest days of the summer. Although the description of the unit states it has air conditioning, when we arrived, the windows were open and it was 87 degrees inside. The one small air conditioner, located in the bedroom, was hardly enough to cool the bedroom never mind the entire unit. We used blankets to cover the windows to stop the sun from heating the place up more. The unit itself was updated at some point but it is in need of a refresh. The exterior is weathered, the front door (inside) was dirty and showing repaired water damage. The glasses and cooking stovetop were not clean, there were no washcloths in the bathroom. On our second day, once the we covered all of the windows using the blankets, we left the AC on in the hopes it would cool off the place by the time we arrived back. But... the power went out. By the time we got back, it was 85 degrees inside. At that point, although we were booked for 2 more nights, we left. I did reach out to the host and told him that we were not staying for the two other nights we booked. The reply was that there was nothing he could do about the power outage, which is correct. He stated he would reimburse me for one of the nights, but despite reaching out again, we were never reimbursed.
Beautiful property in a gorgeous area to appreciate the fall colors. Hiking & great restaurants nearby. Great host communication. Very clean, modern apt. My husband did not like that there was no TV and only an expresso machine, no coffee.
Clean, modem and cozy. Beautiful grounds. Highly recommend!
