Nice Stay
We enjoyed our trip. The cottage was a cute little place but could use some more cleaning. It was pretty centrally located for Holland attractions. It is 25 mins to the Holland state park. I would not recommend for very young children. The stairs to the bedrooms are steep and the landing is open at the top step. Overall it was a fine place to stay.

Great location- could use a lot of improvements
I wouldn’t recommend this place for traveling with young kids. The bedroom with the two twin beds has a very unsafe area outside of the room. The gate helped but made me feel uneasy and one of the kids could have easily fell down the stairs, as there really is no space between the stairwell and the room. There was also a dramatic temperature difference between the first floor vs the second floor. It wasn’t as clean as we expected considering the price. The view from the master bedroom was spectacular and the area was absolutely beautiful. I recommend this place for a couple or maybe two couples.

Wonderful weekend!
Thank you Tram! Your property was so comfy and accommodating. We cooked more than a few times in the kitchen. And we had everything we needed to cook each meal. Thanks for that! Beds were comfy. Even the pull out was comfy. Great water pressure!!! The location was fantastic! If anyones stays here on a Saturday in the spring/summer, def check out the Holland Farmers Market and downtown. We also had a beach day. The dunes are beautiful! And we played board games and RPGs most of the rest of the time. The dining room comfortably sat all 6 of us with room for games and food. Lastly, the house was super comfy for naps. :). Thanks!!

For the Price, thought it would be nicer and ceaner
Things we did not like: 1). kitchen cupboards doors not so clean, had dirt and grim on them so we cleaned the cupboard doors and the stove top was not clean either. We personally did not like all the "used" condiments in the refrigerator. 2). trim throughout house was dusty and dirty and the dining room light fixture was very dusty 3). carpet in living room and dining room look old but seem clean 4) bathroom window does not seal, left light on at night and in the morning there were at least 50 tiny flying bugs in the shower 5) stairs in this old house are very steep and narrow treads, I fell down them one night and badly bruised my tailbone 6). view of Lake Macatawa was only accessible from the upstairs front bedroom, kind of.... we stayed in late spring 7). Front porch smells musty so when we opened the windows to take advantage of the cooler air, all we could smell was the musty front porch 8). the mattresses were not comfortable for older parents, they were cheaper mattresses with what seemed like a mattress topper on it. Our backs were aching the whole time we were there. Our kids could handle it but we could not. Other than the items listed above, the house was clean and orderly. We have stayed at houses in California that are the same price and in much better condition only a block from the ocean. This house was not worth the price. Wish the property would use the money we paid for our dog staying with us to clean the house better. Things we did like: 1) having a code to lock and unlock the front door. 2) location was close enough to downtown and other things 3) safer area 4) cable and TV
