Coastal Sands located @ Gulf Terrace Condos in Destin! Sleeps 6 ~ 1BR & 1-1/2 BA

Welcome to Coastal Sands! This condo is decorated with a cozy beach feel. This relaxing 1BR, 1-1/2 Bath (sleeps 6) and has everything you need for your family beach vacation. There is a king size bed in the main bedroom with private bath with shower. The living room has a queen couch and two custom built twin over twin beds (with memory foam mattresses) and a fold out single bed. The half bath is located off the dining area.

Fully furnished kitchen to prepare your meals @ the condo or you can walk to several restaurants nearby. There are two (2) coffee pots, one regular and one Keruig. A stackable washer and dryer is right off the kitchen.

Beach chairs, towels and a small ice chest and boogie boards are in the main bedroom closet.

Gulf Terrace is a gated community located on 26 acres. There are 3 pools, 2 tennis courts, basketball, picnic areas, community laundry facilities and a 20 acre fishing lake.

The condo is located in the heart of Destin where you can walk to Big Kahuna's Water Part, shops, restaurants, Putt Putt Golf or the beach.

There is beach access at The Back Porch Restaurant, 1740 Scenic HWY 98, if you would like to walk (.08 mile walk).
Henderson Beach State Park is located at 1700 Emerald Coast Parkway in Destin. The Cost is $6.00 per vehicle (2-8 per vehicle). There is also beach access by Pompano Joe's in Miramar Beach #49, 2375 Scenic Gulf Drive, Miramar Beach.

Great place to stay! The king bed is a little too firm and squeaks on one side. Other than that it was in a great location to Walmart, Henderson State Beach, and everything in Destin.

Very nice and clean apartment ,well decorated and comfortable, the property has 3 swimming pools and 2 tennis/pickleball court that our kids loved, amenities included, definitely would recommend because almost everything is close by ,the contact realtor was really friendly and helpful, easy check in.

The condo was very nest and clean. Well stocked with extra pillows and towels, if needed. The fridge, stove, and microwave were all very clean. The fridge and microwave were in good working order, I didn’t use the stove/oven during my stay. There were a couple weak spots in the floor that were not noticeable until you stepped on them. Definitely not something that would cause a bad experience. I would definitely stay there again.

We loved it!

We brought three children with us on our trip, and it was the perfect amount of space for everyone to sleep comfortably. The condo was beautiful and up-to-date. It was in the heart of Destin, where everything was close to us. The owner was very easy to communicate with, in the check in process was simple. We will definitely be back!

Perfect for young family on a budget

The condo was perfect for our family with young children. We needed a home base that allowed us easy location to all Destin has the offer, but didn’t break the bank. The condo was very clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and supplies were appropriately stocked. The management team was easily reachable by text as needed. We were able to walk to the beach and take a short (10 min or less) drive to many good restaurants and harbor village. Highly recommend!!

Great experience

This was our first time traveling to Destin, we enjoy our stay the communication was great only issue we had was the internet but it wasn’t too much they were able to come and resolved it. The place was clean very organize comfortable. Also it was not too far from the beach.

Convenient and close

The pull out bed in the couch is broken we could not get it out. It is close and convenient to just about everything in Destin. The pools were closed at random times with no notice and weren't the cleanest. Overall we were happy with the location and the price.

Correct advertisement

They pictures showed a balcony which we really wanted and didn’t have at our unit. We would stay there again only if the unit had a balcony.

Better than advertised

This place was decorated so cute and beachy. Looking at some of the other condos in this division, this one looks like one of the better ones. It was the perfect size for my family of 6. Two kids slept on the bunk beds and the 2 little ones slept on couches. There were 2 hide away beds, but we didn’t use them. It was very organized as well and the towels were nice. The pools were well kept. We drove to Henderson Beach state park and it wasn’t far at all. It was beautiful. Really nice trip

Great place if you want experience the city

Great location! Even though it was slightly far from the beach but it was in the heart of Destin so everything is near by. Overall is great ! And I didn’t give 5 stars as the living room table and the general set up of the living room isn’t the safest for kids ! I’d recommend changing the living room table. That’s all thank you for the storm update and for letting stay at your place.

Thank you for your nice review. The living room table has been taken care of by the current guest. They broke the glass and wanted to replace (it has been broken prior) and I requested they please replace with acrylic so it would be safer for children. We have also ordered acrylic for the side table that a previous guest broke - we are all about having a safe environment for your beach vacation!

As advertised.

The listing does a pretty good job at telling you exactly what to expect. It isn’t on the beach but the location is great. Easy access to everything you’ll need. The only complaint is it’s listed as 1 1/2 baths but during the summer the 1/2 bath is basically unusable. There’s no a/c in the room so it stays really hot. Other than that the place is great.

Good overall needs a few changes

Liked the condo overall, but the dishes and the sheets were dirty when we got there. Pans looked like the used them and stuck them back in without washing. Sheets still had sand in them. The bunk beds were so uncomfortable we couldn't even use them. They definitely need new mattresses. Master bed wasn't that comfortable either, but manageable. We pulled out the smaller couch to use instead of the bunks. That half bath definitely needs a fan/vent/ac of some kind. The rest of the condo was clean, organized, and well stocked with anything you'd need while you are there. The communication w the property manager was amazing. She answered right away w all issues that we thought she could fix. Very easy to navigate with all of the written instructions and definitely liked the guides in the condo on places to go/things to do. With some new mattresses, and a good deep clean, the place would be top notch.

Hi Melanie, Thank you for your review, but I can assure you that the linens were clean as they are exchanged with clean linens every checkout. We apologize about the sand and the pans and we will speak to housekeeping. As far as the bunks, the Owner had just replaced with very thick mattresses, but we know everyone has their preferences on bedding and that is something we cannot get correct all the time. You did not report any of this to management on your arrival so we could to address your issues. Next time you travel, please contact management so they can address any issues you see on arrival.
