Beautiful home that is very well maintained and centrally located next to a super cool old mill that has been converted into shops and restaurants. The host was very communicative and easy to work with. The house was well stocked with all of the essentials and then some. There are train tracks across the street and the trains run starting early in the morning. If you’re a heavy sleeper this shouldn’t be an issue for you.

About the host
Hosted by Mary Pfeiffer
Mark and Mary own a few unique homes/spaces to provide a wow experience that is different in each home/space. High quality furnishings, linens, towels and more. Our guest's experience have left them breathless and coming back each year to a different space. We have had a few integrate some of our designs for their own homes/renovations.
Why they chose this property
We wanted to preserve a piece of history in the area and give guests a unique historic experience. The interior was completely gutted to the original log floor joists. We then rebuilt it leaving most of the exterior shell with original cedar shake siding, tongue and groove porch as well as the crooked window sills. Many people come to the area to photograph the historic mill and include this home in their photos. Wedding parties and bride photographers can be seen as well.
This home is also home to ground hogs, fox and deer as well as a variety of native birds.
What makes this property unique
This historic home is nestled next to the only intact mill in South Carolina. You feel like you are part of the history as the home is next to the 1890 towering grist mills
