This upside down barn conversion on a working farm in Newbiggin-on-Lune sleeps four people in two bedrooms.

Old Byre Cottage is a semi-detached cottage on a working farm in Newbiggin-on-Lune. The cottage has two ground floor bedrooms; a king-size double which can be a twin on request, and a room with bunks. The bathroom is also on the ground floor, while upstairs is an open plan living area leading to a raised patio. As well as the patio guests have use of the shared grounds including a play area, and there is off road parking. Old Byre Cottage is an ideal base for walking, sightseeing, playing 'farmer' or simply relaxing.

Amenities: Biomass central heating. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV with Freeview and WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 3 cars. Private raised patio area accessed via 1st floor living area with furniture and BBQ. Shared paddock with children's play area. One well behaved dog welcome, additional dogs £15/dog. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pubs 2 miles. Note: Washing and drying facility available through owner.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Newbiggin-on-Lune is a small village below the Howgill Fells, set between the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales, making it an ideal base for exploring both. There is trout fishing in the river Lune nearby, good walking up the fells and easy access to attractions such as the Settle to Carlisle Railway.
