The Malthouse is a wonderful conversion of Arkwright’s, Grade II listed former mill in Cromford. The cottage is detached and offers nine bedrooms with their own TVs with Freeview and a DVD player. These include a super king-size double with en-suite, two twin rooms, and a family bathroom on the lower ground floor, two king-size doubles and a twin on the ground floor with their own en-suite shower rooms, and a super king-size double, and two twin rooms on the first floor. Offering brilliant flexibility, all four twin rooms have zip/link beds. There is a family bathroom with a luxurious slipper bath, and three kitchens, one of which is on the first floor, and the other with a large, social dining area. There are also three sitting rooms, again one of which is on the ground floor and one on the first floor. Outside, there is a front courtyard with furniture, a rear lawned garden overlooking the mill pond with a patio and furniture, and off road parking for eight cars.

One of these is Cromford Mill, which has been fully restored and is now designated as a World Heritage Site. The village has three public houses and a variety of shops, however for more amenities the towns of Matlock and Matlock Bath are close by. Other attractions in the area include Gulliver's Kingdom family theme park, Chatsworth House and many more. This area has much to offer and makes a great base for a holiday.
