This cottage on a non-working farm is located near to the village of Edale in the Peak District and can sleep five people in three bedrooms.
The Stables is located on a non-working farm near to the village of Edale in the Derbyshire Peak District. The cottage sleeps five people and has one double bedroom and two twins (one with a pull out bed) plus a family bathrooms. Also in the cottage is an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen and a sitting area. Outside is off road parking and a patio garden with outdoor furniture. Set in beautiful countryside, The Stables is a superb cottage for a family holiday in the fabulous Peak District.
Amenities: LPG central heating with electric fire in sitting area. Gas range oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in the rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Heated storage for bikes and hiking equipment. Side garden with patio, lawn and furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pubs 1.5 miles.
Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.
Town: The lovely High Peaks village of Edale is the start of the Pennine way and lies at the foot of Kinder Scout. It has two pubs, and one of them, The Nags Head, is usually accepted as the start of The Pennine Way walk. With credentials like these it’s little wonder that the area attracts so many walkers, and they won’t be disappointed. The village has a general store combined with a post office and a Moorland Visitor Centre. Castleton is only four miles away and is a village that has something for everyone, a ruined Norman Castle, Blue John caves and all under the auspicious gaze of Mam Tor, “The Shivering Mountain.” All in all the charming village of Edale is a fabulous holiday location.
