About this property

Cozy Mountain Getaway - Breathtaking Views

Watch the sun rise and set from this high mountain meadow suite with sweeping views of the Continental Divide. Near the Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park & world-class rock climbing at Lumpy's & fly fishing on the Big Thompson. The neighborhood is nestled in the Roosevelt Forest. The Palisade Mountain hike is fabulous & 5 min away.

The kitchenette is equipped with the usual things you need to make a meal, bedroom has a queen size bed. Outside seating area with a cowboy grill for s’mores or grilling a steak. There will be coffee, tea and bagels in The Suite for you to enjoy.

This cozy suite has its own separate space and self check-in keypad entrance. We live in the main house which is upstairs.

If you are looking for a remote getaway, Storm Mountain is perfect. The community of Storm is located up a narrow dirt Forest Road. It's the kind of place you go to get away from all the hustle, but not to worry, we are only 20 minutes from Estes Park where you'll find a grocery store, restaurants and anything else you need. A 4x4 with snow tires and/or chains may be required if it snows. There is no reception up here, but we have WiFi and you can make phone calls via WiFi, no problem.

The elevation is 7,100 ft, with amazing views of the Continental Divide. The home location also allows you to see the sunrise and the sunset.

We are nestled in the Roosevelt Forest, with several great hiking trails. One of our favorites is Palisade Mountain.

We welcome one furry friend per stay. Let us know in advance if you are bringing a pet. Pet rules:
1. Please do not leave your pet in the suite while you are away.
2. Please leash your dog, our neighbor has free range chickens.
3. Please do not allow your pet on the furniture or the bed.
4. There’s a $35 fee for their stay, please leave cash, prior to checking out or you can Venmo or PayPal us.

Perfect secluded studio with views
This was an ideal base for exploring Rocky Mountain national park. We woke up every morning to beautiful views and came back to our perfectly furnished studio with everything we needed. Between the mini fridge, microwave and hot plate we were able to eat many of our meals right there sitting on the patio furniture enjoying the view. Although the location is remote it is not too far from dinner at the inn on glen haven or cinnamon rolls or ice cream from the glen haven general store. The owner left us eggs, bagels and cream cheese and coffee to start the day. We hope to return!

Beautiful rural stay
Jess's home is beautiful. It's close enough to rocky mountain national park, but far enough from the hustle and bustle of Estes park. She got us bagels and had coffee pods for our stay. Amazing hospitality. Will definitely come back again.

Peaceful and Perfect!
Jessica sent directions and check in instructions that were exact. There was no guessing where to go or how to get in. Once there the suite was clean, cool (no AC but none needed), kitchenette fully prepared - plates, cups, eating utensils, paper towels, toaster, Kurig and microwave, bathroom with soap and shampoo and guides for activities on the table in case you needed a little help with planning. Jessica checked in with us to ensure we did not need anything but did so by messages not in person visits to be respectful of our privacy. There was amazing views everywhere you look. We woke up to the sound of a neighbors rooster and a goat while enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the sun come up over the mountain. We would stay here again as our honeymoon was perfect and this little slice of mountain perfection was amazing!
