Want to get away for a weekend? Or longer! Just an hour and a half from Toulouse, the Clos des Mûriers holiday rental—a 3-star property in the heart of the Causses du Quercy Regional Nature Park—offers you the peace and quiet you’re looking for. Here, there’s zero pollution: peace and quiet and fresh air are part of our daily life. The spacious guesthouse is housed in a small, detached cottage that’s part of a traditional Quercy complex, boasting breathtaking views and an elevated vantage point overlooking the Lot Valley. It can accommodate two or three people and is laid out over two levels.
Whatever your interests, this lodging is an ideal “base” from which to explore the region’s must-see towns and villages: we are just 5 km from Saint-Cirq-Lapopie and the Château de Cénevières, 15 km from the Pech-Merle cave and Marcilhac-sur-Célé, 30 km from Cahors and its vineyards, Figeac or Villefranche-de-Rouergue, and 40 km from Rocamadour, Saint-Antonin-Nobleval, and the Padirac Chasm.
Do you enjoy hiking? Several short hiking trails are directly accessible from the cottage. Detailed information on nearby trails is available upon request from the owners.
You can also take advantage of the quiet trails and roads for cycling: there are numerous mountain bike and hybrid bike routes starting from the cottage, and a covered storage area for your bikes.
Not to mention the other outdoor activities available within a 10-km radius: canoeing and kayaking, rock climbing, horseback riding, fishing…
And if, come evening, you feel like strolling under the stars, the sky here is exceptionally clear. You’ll be able to enjoy the spectacle of the starry sky since we’re located in the famous Dark Sky Triangle, a night sky observation area free from light pollution that guarantees magnificent skies.
