About this property
Exquisite secluded cottage for a couple, with terraces and private swimming pool
An exquisite secluded cottage with two external terraces and swimming pool,
A very secluded detached one-bedroom stone-built cottage with barn ideal for couples. All part of a small hamlet of three properties. The completely self -contained house with open plan kitchen, living and dining room on the upper is approached by a wide stone staircase from the covered lower terrace to the upper covered terrace.
The newly installed kitchen is equipped with oven, hob, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher.
There is fast internet facilities, and Humax satellite TV.
The first-floor bedroom with ensuite shower and separate WC is accessed via a wooden staircase. (Please note that the staircase is quite steep and narrow, so not suitable for guests with limited mobility).
The two covered terraces have tables and chairs for out door dining, and there is a Weber BBQ in the lower terrace.
The 8m x 4m pool with surrounding paving is enclosed by stone walls to provide complete privacy, with loungers and parasol.
There is approximately 2 acres of garden surrounding the property, and gravel parking.
Within view of the Céle River, known for trout and perch fishing, it is also easily accessible for a number of river side activities including kayaking and canoeing, or just peaceful picnics.
Just 5 minutes’ walk down the lane to the popular ‘La Belle Époque’ restaurant and conveniently close, to the beautiful medieval town of Figeac, with its bustling Saturday market and delightful shops and restaurants. Famous for its association with the Egyptologist Jean Francois Champollion, (who published the first translation of the Rosetta stone hieroglyphs in the 19th century) Figeac offers everything you need to experience a traditional French town.
Very conveniently located for easy access to many tourist spots, activities and places of interest such as Rocamadour, Gouffre de Padirac, Cahors, and St Cirq-Lapopie and is an ideal base for visiting the Lot, Dordogne and Célé river valleys for a choice of many activities.
We operate a Saturday check in (4pm onwards) and Saturday check out (before 10am) because our team changing linen, cleaning, pool and garden maintenance are contracted to this date and provide the best service.
