We had a great family Vacation and location was super for small children.
Perfect for beach getaway and close to everything we needed. Pots and pans could have been more utilitarian, better instruction on garbage collection would be helpful.
This was our first time staying in North Cape May and we loved it. Super relaxing vibe. Even on the weekends the beach, which is right across the street from the house, is pretty relaxed. Nice sand, clean beach, warm shallow water great for the kids. The house is very large with lots of space to spread out and relax. The style of the home is older but it’s been well maintained and kept clean so we felt super comfortable spending lazy days just lounging around the house. Being able to just walk on the beach in just a few min was awesome. Walking the beach road is great in the mornings and evenings and the sunsets are really incredible. There is a restaurant a 10 min walk away which is pretty awesome and has a huge food and drink selection and a casual beachy vibe which is perfect. Cape May, Wildwood, lots of breweries and wineries are a short drive away. We were lucky to find this place for our last minute trip, and we would definitely come back.
My partner, son, his wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at this quaint north cape may place. It was a magical experience seeing numerous dolphins every day in the bay across the street, sometimes through the windows when inside the house! Sunsets were spectacular too, sometimes viewed through the large bay windows when inside the house.
Great location. Nice and quiet beach across the street. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Plenty of rooms that allowed my son and his wife each to have their own room for remote work yet still left plenty of space and rooms for me and my partner. Had a wonderful stay.
Ruth was rapidly responsive in addressing two issues created by previous tenants, not by her. On our first night there was an electrical storm that was magnificent to behold. The bay is no more than 100 feet from the front door, down a gentle incline.
Our weekend stay at Ruth's beautiful beachfront home in North Cape May was a great success. The location is perfect with beautiful views of the Bay from most rooms in the house as well as the deck. Ruth was super hospitable and flexible for us. We will definitely be back.
House had a mouse or mice that appeared on Thursday of our stay. Not enough trash cans to handle all the trash. Microwave handle was broken when we got there, but microwave died on Thursday. Downstairs in main living area was warmer than upstairs and no ceiling fans in any room. With COVID there were no bath mats or no rubber mats in the bathtub for slip and falls. Had issues with the tenant in the cottage behind the house. All of these things were reported to the property manager/owner. My father also left his support hose in one of the dresser drawers and I have called to see if they will mail them as they cost about 20.00 per pair and he left 3 or 4. Have not heard back.

Hi Cheryl, as we explained during the many phone calls from you over the course of your stay, we're so sorry for your disappointment. The first call was a complaint about the lack of an electric can opener; we're sorry to hear that you strained your wrist using the manual opener provided. You also called to ask how to access the local news; we're sorry you had trouble with the remote control. We apologize that the cord to access the light above the washing machine was too short and that the single female tenant in the back cottage had her light on too late into the night on the second to last night of your stay. As I explained, in light of COVID, we opted not to provide mats in the bathrooms that multiple people would come in contact with. The microwave was in working order when you arrived and we did replace it with a brand new one after you left since it was no longer working at the end of your stay. Thank you for notifying us of the mouse. We had an exterminator in to address it right away and he informed us that given our location at the dunes, it happens. I'm glad that you received your father's socks, handkerchiefs, and the earring that you left. We sent those items out as soon as we returned. We hope that you have better luck next year with a different rental. We were clearly not a good match. These are the first complaints that we've received all summer and it strikes us as a problem with the guest (with too much time on her hands) rather than the property.
