Ideally located in the center of the island, it serves as a perfect base from which the main attractions Crete has to offer can easily be reached. Rethymno town is easy to reach, being only 18km from Roupes. It is about a 15-minute drive along the highway to reach the town center.

This area itself is famous for its archaeology and nearby you will find the Ancient site of Eleftherna and the infamous Arkadi Monastery. The surrounding area is of magnificent natural beauty and you are within 10 minutes' driving distance to the golden sandy beach.
