We had a great week near the beach. The public beaches are only a block away. Several restaurants are within walking distance. This villa is in a safe neighborhood. It is clean and was supplied sufficiently for our needs. The bedroom with the king size bed has a walk in closet but both bedrooms had good size closets. The main room is spacious and comfortable. The only drawback is that the villa is on the second floor without an elevator.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay! We do have similar units on the first floor. All were generously updated in 2022. In fact, you may want to look at the Everglades Unit, which has a similar layout - the same building with a rear-facing private patio.

Dirty and a ton of deferred maintenance
As soon as arriving we noticed the property is in need of massive maintenance. Outside of building is dirty and the outside wall of the master bedroom had mold/mildew growing which u will smell when entering apartment.
Shocked when we tried to cook our first meal. Dishes were put away dirty with food still in bowls and on utensils. We were forced to wash everything. Pots and pans were unusable with Teflon coming off all cookware. We notified Natty and she replaced them our second night. Dishwasher did not work natty said they were putting in a new one after we leave. Dryer took three cycle to dry the clothes. The kitchen is not well stocked. There were no utensils whatsoever to use on the barbecue grill. And the barbecue grill was absolutely disgusting. I took several pictures.
I did speak to Natty on the phone our first day concerning our issues. She was very pleasant to speak with. And listened to our concerns and apologized. She did replace the pots and pans.
She apologize for the dirty dishes. And the fact that the kitchen was not clean especially the backsplash which contain a lot of splashed food.
Because of the dishes dishwasher cleanliness and just lack of maintenance in this unit compared to what the pictures represent I did ask for one night rental to be returned. She said she would talk to the owner and let me know and did offer to refund the cleaning fee.
As of writing this review I had tried to reach out to Natty twice more without hearing back. We checked out 9 days ago. She did not return the cleaning fee and never responded to me after she said she would talk to the owner about refunding one nights rental.

We sincerely appreciate honest and objective reviews as they allow our team to continually strive for excellent guest services and quality improvements. However, this may be the most fictitious review we have ever received or read on VRBO.
Firstly, this guest showed up and, even before checking, began complaining about this unit, noting that it was mis-advertised and is a second-level unit. This unit is clearly advertised as “Second Story.”
We immediately offered this guest a larger 2-bedroom two-bathroom unit on the first floor. However, the same was refused by the guest.
Normally, we insist that all guest concerns and/or needs are completed through the App, so we have documentation and can push service inquiries to the appropriate suppliers and service team immediately. However, Chad insisted that we contact him via phone, presumably, so it is not documented.
Accordingly, he began complaining about all the items mentioned in his review. Of course, our staff apologized! But at the same time, asked to come over and inspect and send the cleaners back immediately, which he also refused. He also failed to mention that he berated our cleaning staff for not leaving ANY towels, only to find out later that a member of his party had moved them.
What Chad failed to reveal is that this entire unit had been freshly painted, and all bathroom fixtures were replaced and upgraded. In fact, this building just underwent in excess of 100K in unit improvements, including all unit interiors and exterior landscaping and that process is ongoing.
The only deferred maintenance are the remaining window replacements and the installation of a new roof, which was deferred due to Hurricane Ian, and our service providers asked us to delay so they could attend to those with more immediate needs, as our building suffered no damage from Hurricane Ian.
The mold which Chad refers to is not mold, it is. It and dirt left over from Hurricane Ian, blown against the side of the house.
While I admit, unfortunately, the dishwasher failed during his stay, we also offered to have a repair person onsite that day to repair it. However, chad indicated that was not necessary as he figured it out. We admittedly advised him that we had a new Dishwasher already ordered as the same was part of the unit’s ongoing improvements. Unfortunately, the Dishwasher we ordered was on backorder and has since been replaced as planned.
In all, we did everything within our power and abilities to appease this guest but to no avail and no cooperation, and as frequently as he used the terms “free night” “free cleaning,” one can only presume what his real complaint was he was not getting a free vacation.
Bad Host or Bad Guest – you decide.

This guest insisted on staying, even after we attempted to cancel reservation post-Hurricanes Helene and Milton, while this unit was not affected by the storms, our other units were, the guest was advised this was a construction zone and many amenities were not available. We are sorry for her bad experience, however we made every attempt to accommodate, even though we defined the limits due to storms and storm remediaton
