Immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of the Atlantic, just steps from your door. Remodeled between 2017-2019, "WaitnSea" features a stylish and functional interior. The open dining and living spaces showcase a gorgeous white kitchen with granite countertops and updated appliances, complemented by a calming neutral décor and continuous LVP flooring. Thoughtfully furnished throughout, the home provides both comfort and elegance.

The layout includes a convenient first-level bedroom and full bathroom. Upstairs, you'll find three additional comfortable bedrooms, including two oceanfront rooms with direct access to the expansive upper-level covered deck. Imagine unwinding each evening with breathtaking ocean vistas. A second full bathroom is also located on this level.

Enjoy the coastal breeze and stunning scenery from two levels of covered oceanfront decks – ideal for morning coffee, afternoon relaxation, or evening stargazing. Situated in the quiet Shell Cove neighborhood, "WaitnSea" offers a peaceful ambiance while providing easy access to local conveniences. Located directly across from the NC Wildlife public boat ramp, it's a prime spot for boating enthusiasts. Enjoy daily walks (or rent bikes for your visit from a local shop for leisurely bike rides) along the Emerald Isle bike path that connects you to the shops, restaurants, and amenities of the town center.

Welcoming Your Well-Behaved Dogs:

Up to two well-behaved dogs may join your stay for an additional fee ($150 for the first dog, $75 for the second). We ask that you crate your dog if left unattended, ensure all waste is properly disposed of, and keep them off of the furniture, beds and the dunes. In accordance with local regulations, dogs must be leashed at all times.

We had a wonderful stay in Emerald Isle! The owners were timely and responsive, and the location is hard to beat—beautiful beachfront setting with easy access to the beach right from the deck walkway, while still convenient to everything on the island. The house is a bit dated, but well aligned with the price point, comfortable, and very well supplied, especially the kitchen and everyday essentials. Most importantly, it gave our extended family plenty of space to relax and enjoy time together. We would happily return!

We had a wonderful stay! The home is beautiful, right on the ocean with amazing views. It was exceptionally clean and one of the best-stocked vacation rentals we’ve stayed in. The kitchen had excellent cookware and everything we needed to prepare meals comfortably. Communication with the host was outstanding—responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing beachfront getaway.

The interior of the home was clean and furnishings were good. Extremely well stocked from paper products to sun screen. The outside shower and both grills needed a good cleaning. I would suspect the grill cleaning would be up to the person that last used it and that didn’t happen.

Great experience! I’ve been renting from VBRO for 20 years, experienced 2 things that I’ve never experienced before on this stay. The first Mandy offered us the house early, after 10 am because someone checked out early and the second was welcome gift of wine. Mandy is incredibly responsive and the house is by far the best stocked house we’ve ever rented. In fact, we started playing a guessing game of items to see if the house had it. It did. Also, very good location.

This property is right on the ocean. It has great views and access. The kitchen is well equipped. We had everything we needed to prepare meals. There's a supply closet with extra soaps and paper products which allows you to enjoy the beach instead of running to the store. Hope to stay here again.

We have stayed here before - the view never gets old! The house is just steps away from the emerald green ocean. My favorite hang out is on one of the porches while reading a book! The weather during our 2-week stay in April 2026 was sunny every day except on our departure. We like that the house is located in Shell Cove with one outlet… great for walking or biking. Also, there is plenty of shopping within 2-3 miles as well as a variety of restaurants. Great location.The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, coffee mugs, flatware, pots and pans, etc. You won’t be disappointed.The host (Mandy or Beth) responds quickly with results.

Welcome to "WaitnSea," our little slice of paradise on beautiful Emerald Isle on the "Crystal Coast"! Our families' love affair with this enchanting beach stretches back over five decades. Growing up in Winston-Salem, siblings Bryan and Beth spent countless summers here with their extended family, creating cherished memories that have lasted a lifetime.

It wasn't long after we met our amazing spouses – Mandy, who hails from England, and David, a proud Ohioan – that we introduced them to the magic of Emerald Isle. They were instantly captivated, just like we were!

Over the years, this special place has been the backdrop for so many wonderful moments: sandy toes and giggling kids, refreshing dips in the sparkling ocean, peaceful beach strolls at sunrise and sunset, dolphin watching, charming antique finds in nearby Swansboro, delicious local eats, and breezy boat rides on the sound. The list of things we adore about Emerald Isle goes on and on – but the soothing rhythm of the waves crashing on the shore will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Now based in Raleigh, NC, when we're not soaking up the coastal charm ourselves, we're thrilled to share our treasured "WaitnSea" with you. We've poured our hearts into making it a welcoming and comfortable retreat for you and yours, and we sincerely hope you fall in love with Emerald Isle just as much as we have!

What makes this property unique

There are no homes on either side of this property, so the view is unobstructed! Also, because the home faces south, you get to see beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the comfort of the decks or on your beach walks!
