Just cross the road and you're standing on the beach about 100m north of Lion Rock. It is also right between the flags of a frequently surf patrolled area in the high season. Our beautiful, rugged, iron-sand beach is perfect for a holiday - surf, swim, walk - enjoy the beach, the bush, the awesome views and magical sunsets. This typical Kiwi bach has a warm and sunny north west aspect and is set on a large level site. The layout is perfect for relaxed holidays with its large open plan living area and huge entertaining decks. You can lie in bed and look at Lion Rock from the master bedroom while the other rooms offer a restful garden view. It is only a 5 min walk to the local shop, cafe, library and tennis court.

Glad you had a great time, thanks for looking after our place so nicely!
Loved the bach - awesome location and has everything you need. Sadly time was too brief - cut short by a cyclone!
Would love to come back and spend longer.
We had a great family time here. The house instructions weren’t complicated and communication with Sharon was easy. The house is a classic kiwi bach, very comfortable with a relaxing vibe. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed meals on the decks which were large with ample seating. Having the beach over the road was amazing for walks, surfing and taking in the dramatic scenery. You can hear the sea from the house. We could walk up the road to the fresh fruit ice cream shop or a little further to the general store, for coffee, food & supplies. The library and market are nearby too. We played tennis at the camp ground courts and swam at Blue Pool, at the southern end of the beach. All in all a great stay and we would book again!
You can't beat this property for location, charm and amenity. It's so close to the beach and has a wonderful large section where our grandkids could play safely. Sharon was a delight to liaise with and was super helpful We loved every minute!
Everything was as described. Some of the pillows were past their “use by” date, but we always take our own, so no problem. Lovely little spot for a get away.
This was our second visit to this cute little bach, and again, we had a lovely stay. We were warm & snug, enjoying the winter sun. The bach had everything we needed, and as always, Piha delivered that west-coast wild goodness that nourishes the soul.
Piha is one of New Zealand's special destinations, and Sharon's property is well up to standard for allowing visitors to appreciate its unique features. The surf beach and Lion Rock are very short walks away, and the bush walk to Piha's waterfall is a very short drive away.
Previously our family owned a bach at North Piha of similar design to Sharon's, so we appreciated the sensible design features of Sharon's summer home. They brought back happy memories.
The mustard coloured bach just south of Sharon's one was (I believe) owned by mother about 1945. This brought back further memories!
Best of luck for future visitors.
This place is super cute, close to beach, cafe etc.
Very clean and tidy.
Lots of information about the area and ammenities. We would love to come back to this place again. Thank you.
This bach had everything we needed, right down to a kitchen full of handy utensils (I even baked a cake while we were there) We just loved being straight across the road from the beach, we loved the big lawn & deck, there was plenty of room for everyone. Thanks for a great stay
Quintessential nz bach in ideal location... had everything I needed and wanted... clear, friendly instructions

What makes this property unique
Relaxed, easy care holiday home. A truly kiwi bach that we have loved for many years, and created awesome memories in. We have really enjoyed sharing it with others too. Our tradition is to watch the sun go down each evening, from the dunes.
