This property is situated only 3 minutes from the base of the Cardrona, Snowfarm and Snowpark Ski Resort access roads. Alternative ski areas of Coronet Peak, Remarkables and Treble Cone are all well within a comfortable 40 minute drive away. This cosy home is luxuriously and comfortably furnished to provide the ideal base for all activities.
It features an open-plan lounge and kitchen with a cosy open fireplace. A heat-pump is also provided in the lounge area. Underfloor heating is provided in the bathrooms and heaters in the bedrooms compliment this to ensure a comfortable environment. The attached garage has an ample supply of dry firewood, so there is no need to venture outside into the cold to replenish this. The garage also provides washing machine, dryer, indoor clothes line and a heated cupboard to dry out ski gear overnight. The fully-equipped kitchen is well fitted out with dishwasher, electric oven and hob, fridge / freezer and top quality crockery and glassware.Everything needed to prepare supurb meals after a big day on the slopes is there. For those too tired to cook, then the iconic Cardrona Hotel is only 3 minutes walk down the road. This provides essential apres-ski atmosphere and great meal options.
Lounge features comfortable leather sofas, flat-screen TV, home entertainment system. Two upstairs bedrooms contain queen beds, with the third holding two bunk beds. The downstairs bedroom also has a queen bed. All beds are fitted with electric blankets and luxurious, top quality linen and pillows.
Summer and non-ski activities in the Cardrona Valley include mountain biking, trail running and walking, horse trekking and 4 x 4 adventures. It is also an ideal location for visites to local vineyards, many adventure activities and Queenstown and Wanaka - all less than 40 minutes drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cardrona. Being a family of 7 looking to explore the Wanaka / Queenstown / Cromwell area this location suited us well. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped, there wasn't anything we didnt have. The beds & linen were very comfortable. Overall, it was outstanding! We would definitely stay again.
We spent 5 days at the Cardrona Townhouse and had an excellent time. Location is convenient to Queenstown and Wanaka. Communication with the owner was very prompt and easy. The townhouse was very clean and beautiful too. It comfortably accommodated our 7 adults and had all the amenities needed for our stay. If we come back to the area, we will definitely stay here again.
Such a lovely semi in a great location for Cardrona ski field and Wanaka. The house was perfect, and the beds were so comfortable. We hope to come back soon!

We had a fantastic two weeks at Cardrona during Christmas with our extended family. Garry and Kristine were responsive to questions, and had everything setup ready for our arrival. The space is well suited to extended family, and the location allows you to relax from the hustle of Wanaka and Queenstown, while still only a short drive away. The Cardrona Hotel, only a 2min walk away, provides great atmosphere and food, while the general store provides the basics and has a good menu for a quick breakfast on the run.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would recommend highly.
Great location for the busiest period of the holiday season! We had an oasis that was both peaceful and relaxing. We heard the faint drum and base from R&A music festival one night only but nothing that kept us awake. Lovely drive into Wanaka from Cardrona. The unit has everything you need. Lovely outside dining area; just be aware morning sun does burn and no shade (I found out the hard way 😫). Easy stroll to the Cardrona Hotel for dinner.
We spent two weeks in the area, 9 days on the snow and the rest in Wanaka and Queenstown - so this apartment was perfectly located for us. As two adults and two young children we were fine with being out of Wanaka & Queenstown.
Bedrooms were well presented with enough storage space - master quite roomy. There was heaps of bedding, spare pillows and electric blankets.
The kitchen was fitted out with the necessary basics, and the knives were sharp enough to be useful ! :-)
Drying closet was handy for our boots & gloves, big enough to handle same for probably 8 people.
Heaps of wood available for the fireplace.
Unfortunately we did not take advantage of the outside eating area & barbecue.
We had a minor (self-inflicted) emergency early on in our stay and Garry was extremely responsive and helpful in getting it sorted out.
Highly recommended !
Comfortable and easy, in a great location. This house is warm and cosy, well equipped, and thoughtfully provisioned.

Great Townhouse with all facilities. Close to Cardrona Pub. Very Clean and tidy. Perfect spot for ski Cardrona Holiday or summer Central Otago retreat.
Great location and nice town house. All was perfect except for noisey neighbours.
The property is in a great location. We did have a power cut and also very noisey neighbours. Remember this is a town house so you will here next door. The house has everything you need and great for Cardrona and Cardrona hotel.

An excellent property in a great location. Had family visiting from the UK and made a great base for exploring some of the fantastic sights of Central Otago. Also a nice house to retreat to and wind down after a busy day. We particularly enjoyed being an easy walk away from the Cardrona hotel!
