We loved the charm of the house. The location to Manistee was well within walking distance and the neighborhood was quiet. The only thing we didn't like were the beds. They were rather uncomfortable, but for the amount of days we stayed, it was very doable. I would definitely stay again.

Family Vacation in Manistee

We enjoyed our stay in Manistee. The home met all our needs with plenty of room for our group of 7. It is located close to everything, within walking distance to town, the beach and the boardwalk. The owner was very quick to answer our questions and was very kind and helpful. Be sure to say hello to the next door neighbor, Steve. He is a great guy and warmly welcomed us to the neighborhood. Five stars for this Vintage Gem!

We enjoyed the home very much and cooked all our meals at home. The kitchen was well stocked. A microwave would be helpful.We had a little trouble getting inside and there was no information card inside the home with wi-fi, tv, and basic home info. But we contacted the owners successfully. The yard could use some loving care. The porch is fabulous. My sisters and I loved our weekend here!

Beautiful spot! Close to the beach and downtown. We enjoyed it so much. My only complaint is that the sitting porch didn’t have screens on the windows so we weren’t able to enjoy the early morning breeze. And though there is central A/C it does not go into any of the bedrooms upstairs, just the main landing, so the bedrooms were hot at night if it was hot during the day.

Pros: Clean. 2 baths and 4 bedrooms for four women was nice. Location good for walking to downtown and to First Street Beach. Main floor had large open spaces. Kitchen and dining area was a nice gathering spot. Our host was quick to respond to questions and was very nice. Cons: Instructions for access to house and to WiFi connection were incomplete. Had to call host 2x. Wall clock in kitchen not working. Back yard grass and weeds not mowed - very uninviting. Twin beds had cheap mattresses. Home decorated with cheesy, cheap items. It would have been nice to have the TV in main living room, and screens on the porch windows. Overall: we were pleased with the home and the location.
