Precious hideaway in Beatrix Potter style
On arrival to this property, from opening the main gate and driving down the driveway, we knew we were set for an amazing stay. The surrounding land is so beautifully kept and the cottage garden just gorgeous. Inside the cottage, as you walk through the stable split door you are met with homliness and comfort. Everything at your fingertips! Every bit of this cottage was perfect. To sit in front of the open fire as it crackles away, with a cheese platter and a glass of red was perfect after a day out at Wanaka wayching the air show. It was sad to leave here but we will be back from Australia and will definitely stay again. Thank you to the wonderful hosts, ......and not to mention Lily the labrador who came to make sure we were ok each afternoon!!! Thank you so much!!!

Rustic, quiet, homely.
This is a historic dwelling reworked for modern comfort without losing any of its country charm. We enjoyed fresh plums and pears from the orchard across the lawn and were visited by friendly chooks. We spent our days sightseeing around iconic mountain lakes and tasting elegant wines from wineries a few minutes drive from the house. Coming home to this priceless, quiet little stone house in lush fields was the high point of our days. Lisa and Matt were unobtrusive but very helpful hosts who went out of their way to make us comfortable.
