Ranfurly Cottage is the Central Plateau's cosiest, luxury, boutique bed and breakfast accommodation, superbly situated in a quaint and quiet setting within the historic township of Raetihi, gateway to the World Heritage Tongariro National Park, Whanganui National Park and Mt Ruapehu's ski area's; Turoa and Whakapapa.

Just a short stroll to cafes and restaurants and only 11kms from Ohakune's nightlife. Perfectly suited for up to 6 guests and designated as NON smoking with free wireless internet.

The historic village of Raetihi is a perfect halfway point between Auckland and Wellington, New Plymouth and Napier.

Ranfurly Cottage features 2 x queen rooms, complete with quality linen and fluffy towels. Each bedroom has it's own private fully equipped and heated ensuite bathroom and a lovely private conservatory - just the place for a quiet wine after a big day of outdoor activities.

You will have exclusive use of a large open plan alpine style lounge/dining area, complete with comfy designer quality furnishings and a lounge suite that doubles as a sofa bed. A fabulous warm and romantic gas log fire will keep you toasty after a day on the slopes.

SKY TV, a DVD player and the latest in surround sound systems, plus books and board games will entertain the whole family over a winter evening.

Guests also have free use of a well equipped laundry with automatic washing machine and dryer, plus coffee maker, microwave and fridge.
An all weather barbeque area is available for guest use and there is plenty of off street parking for your vehicle.

Transport to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Bridge to Nowhere, Whanganui River canoe journey or one of the new mountain bike trails the Ruapehu has to offer can be arranged.

We hosted Bipul and his three friends, very nice people, and commicative. However they need to follow house rules with regards to cleaning up afterwards. Stains and spillages were found on furnishings, diining room table badly marked along with grease stains on chairs. All dirty dishes left on table, and sink, and spilt yoghurt left on the table covered with a paper towel, was very disapointed.

Alison and Ron were the perfect owners who looked after us and answered all of our questions, as well as supplying us with lovely food. Beautiful warm accommodation

Lovely warm accommodation with fabulous gas fire, easily started and instant heat. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Very clean. Fabulous breakfast included. Only down side is no large dishes for cooking meals in microwave but host immediately brought some to us as soon as asked. Would definitely stay again. Only 10 mins from ohakune, easy drive there.

Our stay was for only one night we increased it to two night. Made to feel very welcome. So nice to come in from the cold, I to find the unit fire was on ,curtains pulled. It was so cosy. Will be back.

Warm, tidy and cosy.

Warm, tidy and cosy. Nice variety of food supplied for breakfast. Raetihi is a tiny place but Ohakune is only a 10 min drive, so that was where we bought meals. The 10-yr-old enjoyed the tv/disney channel on sky.
