What we loved most about this place is it’s a genuine beach bach with modern touches. Room for all of us to stay in one place. The kids loved the table tennis table and the short walk to the beach. We would love to come back and stay again!

I am pleased you enjoyed your time with all your family.
You are welcome back to stay any time.
Happy Haven is a wonderful place to stay. It is well equipped and roomy, and it has a fully fenced, safe backyard which is perfect for our family. The location is great, being close to the beach.
Lynne and Mike are excellent to deal with. We’d definitely recommend this property to family and friends.
Just a fantastic place near the beach. Heaps of space, great showers, good kitchen, super back yard, great owners to deal with and really well priced. Love it!
Happy Haven has all we need for a relaxing weekend away. Wood burner keeps the place nice and warm in winter. Close to beach and cycling tracks. Great pizza at local dairy - don't forget to order by 4pm.

We are pleased your weekend was relaxing and warm. You are welcome again at any time.
Was ideal for the number of people staying. 10 all up. House and sleepout setting. Each family had there own space and great for kids to play. Hosts was very accommodating. Very easy flowing and relaxed environment. Families also mentioned beds were very comfortable. Thank you Mike and Lynne they already talking about rebooking.

Lovely house, but in a dire state
We stayed the weekend just gone for a family getaway. It's a lovely classic kiwi Bach but it is in a dire state. The house was very musty and there was black mold growing everywhere. I spent most of the Saturday trying to clean the mold as we had to breathe that in all weekend. There were animal hairs EVERYWHERE and the vacuum was so old it didn't pick them up when vacuuming. The kettle had black stuff in that was peeling off into the water so that couldn't be used. There was a used sanitary pad in the bin in the garage not wrapped which was absolutely disgusting. The sleep out has black mold growing everywhere also. I tried contacting the owner after we had left as didn't want to put anymore damper on our family holiday and she was far from helpful about the situation. Then I spent hours waiting to talk to someone from bookabach which felt pointless also. I will never use bookabach again. Now we are all sick from the mold. Holiday from hell. Would definitely not recommend to anybody.

If our bach was as disgusting as has been portrayed in this review, why in fact did this person subject her family to staying, I personally would not stay anywhere that is in such a dire strait. We do not understand why we were not contacted in the beginning as our phone numbers are available. We were contacted after the stay and responded immediately.
I suggest future guests look at our past 8 years of reviews and make their own judgement.
We always enjoy our holidays at this lovely property. There is plenty of room to spread out and it has everything we require for our family. It is well fenced, close to the beach and a short walk to the shop. The property managers are wonderful to deal with and we recommend this property to family and friends.
We stayed here over the new year period. Fantastic property to stay with kids and adults too. Seperate sleep out for more space including a toliet and shower. A minutes walk to the beach which was great for us with 2 toddler. Will look to stay here on our next trip to Waiterere. Thanks!
Well presented and appointed holiday home. Fantastic access to the beach and forest. This property had plenty of indoor and outdoor space and was perfect for our family. Thanks Lynne.
We had a very enjoyable stay at this bach. It was clean, comfortable and roomy. The kids loved sleeping in the sleepout with their big cousins. All that we needed was available.
Thanks
We didn't get to see much of the local area as it wasn't as close to the golf course as we anticipated.....and we tended to just eat in town on the way home from the course. Lovely, cosy place though to come home to at night with all the amenities we did need. Great communication from the owners.
