About this property
# 40 At the Beach
This large, modern home is split into two different areas. The upper part is a split-level, 4 bedroom home and downstairs is a seperate 3 bedroom accommodation which may or maynot be tenanted out at the time. It does have a shared driveway. These are rented seperately. Please see owner for further details. This 4 bedroom can accommodate that extended family. Large entrance-way and a balcony out the front to watch those beautiful sunsets.
There is another outdoor dining area on the back deck area - It has a sprawling back-yard so perfect for playing games and BBQing. There is a very large backyard that can be easily blocked off to make this area fully enclosed - a great area for fun family activities. It has a large picnic table and market umbrella to hide from the heat of the sun.
Perfectly located across the road from the beach, with just a 1 minute walk to the beach access. Wonderfully located near the well-known forest entrance (which homes middle-earth and a wonderful playground). Perfect for walking and biking. Also walking distance to our local restaurant/cafe. A local four square (that do the most amazing wood-fired pizzas), gift shop and a bottle store for those necessary supplies are also close by.
This home has a master bedroom with a queen bed (with beautiful views of the Tararua Ranges) another room with a queen bed, 2 king-single beds in another room and a king-single bunk in another room. Beds and mattresses are all new. While it sleeps 8 comfortably, there is also 2 single trundler beds to sleep in the lounge or large entrance way if required. There are black-out blinds in each bedroom for that perfect nights sleep.
There is a main bathroom with 2 showers, vanity and a spa-bath to soak in after a long day of sand and sun. There is a separate toilet also.
The lounge/dining/kitchen is open plan. The kitchen is well-equipped - a slow-cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and there is a BBQ for outdoor use. The house also has a wasing machine for guest use if required and a clothes-line.
New Linen and towels are included, as well as blankets and duvets. Extra blankets and pillows can be found in the wardrobes though we do ask that guests bring their own beach towels. There are basic consumables provided such as liquid soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, laundry powder and dishwasher tablets. We provide enough toilet paper to get you started but ask that guests source their own if more is required. In the kitchen there is a starter pack of tea and coffee sachets. Milk is not provided. We recommend you pick some up from the local Four Square on your way in. The kitchen/dining has a breakfast bar as well as a 6 seater dining room table.
There is an HRV sytem that runs constantly in the background. There is a fire-place in the lounge (wood is supplied) as well as a large heat-pump. Both are very good at heating the whole house.
As well as a TV (bring your own HDMI device) the house has a large range of family games and books to keep guests entertained. We do have limited wifi.
#40 is not a party house. While we do want you to enjoy your stay, we ask that the outside noise be kept to a minimum between 10pm and 7am.
#40 is self-check-in. Check in is from 2pm and check-out is by 10am. A late checkout is sometimes possible but must be arranged prior to check-in. Although we do employ a cleaner, we ask that you just leave the house in a clean and tidy condition in which you found it.
