Taraview Cottage - Fully self contained

Great central location when exploring the Wairarapa. Taraview is situated in a rural setting with fabulous view of the Tararua ranges 2kms from Greytown and a 10 minute drive to Martinborough
Romantic place to stay for couples as it has a huge claw foot bath big enough for 2 and yet also great place to stay for a couple with kids and a dog with half an acre of private fully fenced land to run about on.
Kept warm in the winter months with a log burner.

Dogs are welcome just bring something for them to sleep on and we ask you please do not leave them unattended at the cottage unless crated.

Lovely getaway

Lovely time in a quiet spot, easy access to trails for longer dog walks. Great fenced yard and beautiful gardens. Well equipped lovely place for a getaway.

Perfect Wairarapa getaway spot

At Taraview, guests get great proximity to Greytown while also getting the quiet of the countryside. We enjoyed strolling around the beautiful garden and relaxing in the cosy cottage. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous Greytown

Lovely cottage surrounded by magical gardens, filled with bees and butterflies! We found the road noise a bit loud but earplugs sorted that. The cottage is filled with charm and character. Great location to explore the area. Fantastic to be able to bring our spotty Poppi dog with us ;) Thanks Jeannie!

Fabulous country cottage

Taraview cottage is the perfect getaway. It's just far enough out of Greytown and on the way to Martinborough. The gardens are lovely, lots of dahlias when we stayed at Easter. Beds are comfy and has everything you need. Very suitable for a couple or young family, with a dog.

Sooo restful

We had the most amazing stay - it is our second time going there and honestly it is the BEST if you are looking to unwind and relax . The garden is beautiful and the front porch is very sunny with a gorgeous view. On a cold day you can sit inside play games and light the fire - plus on top of all that it is super clean ! Highly recommended !

Great location.. easy to find.. short distance to Greytown. Cosy fire place. The house was nice and warm with the fire going.. our dog loved the garden.. I felt the only thing missing was a microwave would have been helpful to heat up food.

Relaxing with the pooch

The cottage was perfect for a weekend away with our dog. The notes and information left by the owner were thoughtful and friendly. We all felt so welcome (dog included). The garden is lovely, tulips in bloom and very well cared for. There's an expansive outlook across paddocks to the hills which makes the cottage a very relaxing place to be. The cottage itself is very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay!

Autumn bliss in Wairarapa

Comfortable and quaint country house with a wonderful garden. Lovely and warm and welcoming. We had busy days so enjoyed the warm comfort of a wood burning stove and the opportunity to cook for ourselves in the evening. Double bed was lovely and comfortable.

Quaint Cottage

A lovely little cottage 5 mins from Greytown. Plenty of firewood plus lovely duvet for a toasty winter stay! We appreciated the little touches: jams, coffee, Yorkshire teabags, dog treats etc. The road is busy during the day but quiet at night. Fully fenced large garden appreciated by the dog! Thank you!

Country living close to town ...

Really enjoyed our stay - Loved the pretty cottage garden and appreciated being able to bring the dogs (treats and dog bags a nice surprise!). Great to view the history of the actual build - Cottage not the age some may think. Vases of flowers a nice touch too! Look forward to coming back again in the near future.

AMAZING !

This cottage is outstanding - we had the most relaxing time - it is warm and cosy and set in the best location ! I do not think 5 stars is enough of a rating it needs to be reviewed as 5 stars plus ! The owners are very accomodating and communicate really well - making it a very stressfree holiday ! We will be back and stay for longer next time - four nights was not long enough ! Enjoy !

Perfect for dogs and children. Fully fenced and gate.

Very pleasant environment. Would stay again with family and our dog loved her stay.She even had a special dog biscuit waiting for her! A heat pump/air conditioner be really good as weather changeable. Milk on arrival would be appreciated! The candy bars were eaten by my son upon arrival and a nice welcoming gesture. Great character cottage. Lovely dressing gowns and towels. Very tidy. However,I had to clean the basin and sink upon arrival and wonder if a different cleaner is used to that of their linen -laundry team? Outside pretty, lawns mowed but garden in need of a seriously good cutting back of the acapanthas at the gate!! However, would stay again. 😊

A lovely relaxing stay

We had a wonderful winter getaway, it was freezing outside, but we loved staying in by the fire with everything we needed to enjoy being inside for the weekend.
