About this property

Sea Peeks Holiday Home


Original Kiwi holiday home from the past that has been added to and modernised to give you an ideal relaxed and comfortable holiday stay. This comfortable north facing fully fenced, three bedroom bach has great indoor/outdoor flow with an outdoor hot shower and plenty of outdoor space to play. The Bach sits two houses back from the beach with peaceful sounds of the waves and peeks of the sea and Motiti Island.

Families are preferred. We have high regard for our neighbours, and it is of utmost importance that their privacy and peace is maintained throughout your stay. This is a non-smoking/vaping house and please NO PARTIES and keep noise to a minimum.

Well behaved pets are welcome to join you on your holiday break.
Please Note:
• Limit of one dog per stay unless discussed.
• Dogs are not to be left unattended at the property for extended periods.
• Pets are required to be house trained and are not permitted on beds or sofas.
• Owners are responsible for picking up pet waste.

Local facilities include:
Supermarket, shops, cinema, bars, restaurants and takeaways all within walking distance of the property or a 10 min drive to additional supermarkets, wide range of restaurants, bars, takeaways and retail and specialty stores.

This is a great location to relax at the beach or be adventurous and explore the surrounding attractions of Papamoa, Mount Maunganui and Tauranga, or use as a base to explore further afield.

Surrounding Attractions include:
Walking the beach, sand dunes, bush and harbour, Papamoa Hills for views from East Cape to Coromandel or Mauao base or summit track, range of 18 and 9 hole golf courses, fishing, mountain biking, Rock climbing (indoor and outdoor), ocean, harbour and fresh water swimming, tennis, surfing, kite surfing, frisbee golf, mini golf, miniature railway, sailing, and some great cycling paths to list a few.

Shopping areas include:
Fashion Island and Palm Beach Plaza, Bayfair, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga, Bethlehem, Fraser Cove and The Crossing at Tauriko.

Within One Hours drive:
Rotorua for boiling mud and thermal activity, free world class mountain bike tracks, luging, Zorbing, animal parks and cultural attractions and experiences.

Whakatane: A great drive along the coast to visit the popular beach of Ohope.

Waihi and Waihi Beach: Walk to Orokawa Bay and visit the Karangahape Gorge walkways, gold mines history, Goldfields railway

Matamata: The world famous movie set of Hobbiton Village

Enjoyed staying in this very comfortable, clean and quiet property with our cat. There was everything you need and more. It is in a lovely private setting, and only a couple of minutes or so walk to the beach.

Great house for a family stay, but dog owners should be wary. Despite the fenced yard, the neighbors were hyper sensitive; they complained about barking after a few minutes. We ended up having to take the dog everywhere with us to avoid further issues, which really ruined the 'relaxing' vibe of the holiday.

This is our third time of staying here. We found everything the way it was last clean and well presented. We were pleased that we were able to bring our dog who enjoyed the garden and the proximity to the beach. One criticism I would make is the getting in and out of the shower it really needs a handle or something to hang on to especially for people like us who are over 80

Absolutely delightful cottage and I would thoroughly recommend. As others have said the pictures don't do it justice. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking equipment, beds are super comfortable, there's a bath, a wood burner (that was very thoughtfully already made up for us to light, perfect on a rainy day), books, games, the beach is a short walk away. We had a lovely time, and I would return.
