Host Mary was very pleasant. Studio apt had all basic needs covered. No oven, but a microwave & hot plate that allowed us to make grilled cheese sandwiches! Property is very well kept & a small mall with a supermarket is just around the corner so very convenient location. We were getting on the ferry to the north island in the morning & it was literally a 5 minute drive at most. It would be nice to be able to view the TV from the bed, but not a big deal for 1 night. Other suggestions would be a bit more shelving in the bathroom for toiletries & a towel rack on the side of the sink for a tea towel. But overall, very satisfactory.
