- A spacious 40m² living area, perfect for relaxing or entertaining
- A serene bedroom with a plush queen-sized bed and soothing air conditioning
- A comfortable double pull-out sofa in the living area, ideal for extra guests.
- A fully equipped kitchenette with gas cooking hobs, fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster, allowing you to whip up your favorite meals
- A separate bathroom, ensuring your private space
- All linen provided, with the option to add extra linen for the sofa bed for a small fee

I can’t say enough good things about this property. Gorgeous wee cabin surrounded by trees and bird song. Clean and tidy, comfy bed, excellent communication by the owner… what more could you ask for. My hubby and I had THE BEST weekend away.

Fantastic place and location. super clean, private and close to Matakana village. It was also refreshing to not have a TV! The only very minor observation is that the wifi did tend to cut out from time to time (but always came back on).

Great little cottage close to Matakana

This cottage suited our needs for a quick overnight stop before heading home to Hamilton after a road trip to the far north. It was wet, cold and windy but with the heat pump and wall heaters we were cosy and warm. A great set up for a longer stay. There is road noise which in summer may be annoying when outside enjoying the deck. A fan in the bathroom would be a great addition.

Overall very good but we found in recent cold weather, the condensation caused dampness. The petite bathroom really needs an extractor fan to cope with the high level of condensation after showering.

4 Night Stay

Cosy, clean cottage just off the main road as you are going into Matakana. At times there was a bit of road noise, the shrubs around the cottage help to reduce the noise as well as provide privacy. Close to both Matakan and Warkworth, it was the perfect base for us to be able to get out and explore. Really enjoyed our stay and hopefully will be back in the near future.

We loved our 2 night stay in these cabins. Very clean and with everything you may need. Was fun having the use of the pétanque court and nice not having a tv. Not too far from matakana so walked in to the market, although didn’t realise how much traffic would be on the road so that part wasn’t all that relaxing. At least we didn’t have to try and find a park. Would definitely recommend this place for a stay.
