Beautiful peaceful setting with amazing views. Easy walk to beaches and shopping centre with cafes and bars, supermarket, takeaways and a variety of shops. The property was comfortable, but needs some TLC. Can see some work has begun. The fire needed cleaning out before we could use it, however there was plenty of wood at our disposal. The property is best suited for younger people and families.

This property was a fantastic stay, a true relaxing experience! Beach views that are unrivalled. Close to shops so its a really conveniently located property! We really enjoyed our time here.

Great location and a terrific view - house was clean and comfortable however the sleep out was musty and curtains were a little mouldy which added to the musty smell but overall a great place for a weekend away - would definitely come back

Family get-together at Mangawhai Heads

We really enjoyed out stay at 8 Claude Road - once we managed to find it! Great location. Handy to everything that one would need/want over the holiday period especially for a larger family group. Very well appointed inside. Highly recommended and we are very likely to be back.

We had a great stay at this bach. Perfect fit for our group of parents, teens and doggo. Open plan and flexible areas worked really well. It had everything we needed at the bach, nothing too fancy so you dont have to panic about the kids damaging anything. excellent location, walking distance to both estuary and surf beaches. Nice and private feel to it with bush surrounding but not shading the house. Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful sunrise views and birdsong.

Property has what you need but the views are the real hit with this house. Great little walk to the beach House definitely needs some updating as it's a bit old now, sofas etc would be nice to have some comfier options but overall a good experience

Brilliantly beautiful spot at Mangawhai Heads - 15mins walk to the beach (4min drive) and a really great space to hang out. Glorious views and a great CD collection! Thanks for having us, would love to come again!

Relaxing with great views

House is spacious & has a relaxing vibe we enjoyed. Most of the beds were pretty firm would be the only complaint. Easy walk to beach & surf. Hope to return soon for more Vitamin Sea. Thanks

Such a good space.

Loved our stay, 3 big comfortable beds were a real bonus (1 soft, 2 firm), as were the much used guitar and keyboard, and the lovely fire place - the sun disappeared over the hill by 2pm (a small axe for kindling would be great). We even had some beautiful mid winter swims in the sea with the sun shining. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in your cozy home away from home.

Nice summer bach.

A great place but the house was hard to heat. It was a very cold weekend.

1970's revisited.

The listing makes it clear this is not a high end bach and it's not but, it lovely. Old, lived in and comfy bit like staying with your gran. We spent 2 nights "mini break" here with our dog walked the beach, went to the local bar, watched the sun rise/set from the deck.....perfect chill will go back.
