SANDCASTLE ON ONETANGI | Be My Guest

Sandcastle on Seventh is the ultimate base for a family beach holiday. With plenty of space for the whole family, huge outdoor decks on both sides, and stunning views, this is the perfect spot to relax after a busy day on the beach!

This modern holiday home is the picture of simplicity and style. The property is set over two levels, with a path winding up through the garden and access into both levels. The entire upstairs is taken up with the living, dining and kitchen areas, with both sides opening onto a deck - a huge sunny deck at the front with views across the bay, and a lovely sheltered deck at the back, framed by a nicely landscaped garden. To the side of this deck is also an outdoor loo, and an outside shower - perfect for hosing off the sand!

Downstairs are 3 bedrooms and an alcove area at the end of the hallway that has two single beds, a comfy seat & large Smart TV. The master bedroom with a queen bed has a new ensuite bathroom and opens onto a deck with lovely views and morning sun. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two single beds. These bedrooms also open onto the downstairs deck & have lovely views & sun!

Wake to the sound of the waves and go for a walk down the length of Onetangi Beach. Sit on the deck and enjoy the views, and the lovely native birds enjoying the trees. There is a bus stop just down the road, which has a good service around the island. Further down the beach are a couple of cafes, and a store. There are also 5 wineries within a few minutes drive.

3rd Bedroom: Two single beds
Alcove area: Two single beds

Note: this house is suitable for 6 adults, or up to 8 including children.

All bookings incur a one time linen and exit cleaning cost of $300 so you have nothing to do but relax, refresh and enjoy.

Minimum stay 2 nights except:
• 7 nights from mid December to mid January
• 4 nights over Easter
• 3 nights all public holiday weekends

Special conditions:
The property is not to be used for any parties or gatherings.
No more than 6 guests to visit property over and above those staying there.

Yes we loved staying here. Great views, location and access to the beach/restaurants was fantastic. My friend from England had the best birthday ever. None of us wanted to leave!! Can I suggest a couple of things. Hedges around the pathways leading up to back deck could be trimmed, shower hose needs mending in main bathroom and spider webs all along balcony railing to be removed. Nothing major though. Great location and wonderful sea views. Minimalist decor, with large deck and lounge space. The only furniture for either space was a deck furniture suite: adequate but not beautiful. Good for a big group of young people wanting plenty of room.

Absolutely fantastic location and views were great.

Absolutely fantastic location and views were great. The place was very cool and had a real beach vibe. I can imagine that it would be fantastic over summer with all the doors open as the decks are great and the outdoor bathroom would really be useful then. I would personally have liked a few more amenities such as platters, champagne flutes, potato masher, a whisk and perhaps a couple of wooden chopping boards. This is entirely my personal preference by the way as we love cooking and wine.

Beautiful place to stay. Incredible view and location. House is an amazing layout and beds were very comfortable. Would happily stay again. Only comment I would have is that kitchen could do with a microwave. And maybe some dedicated outdoor furniture on the front deck. (So you don't always have to move the furniture outside each day) Highly recommend staying here
