Dunedin Stay in the Glen

We really enjoyed our stay in Barry’s cute house. It felt almost like staying in an English cottage beside a little stream, tucked away beside a green hillside. The kitchen was well equipped and the living room was comfortable. The location is about 7 minutes drive from the city and there is also a bus stop right outside

Cottage review

The cottage is nice, lovely garden, but we experienced some very wet weather in Dunedin, and the cottage was quite chilly being so low off the road and next to a roaring stream. Very well equipped with more than we needed but would have preferred a firmer bed.

Dunedin ‘Great Little Cottage’

A ‘great little cottage’ nestled in a small valley near the main city of Dunedin. Central to all the important sights in and around Dunedin. Very private, with own little challenging driveway. Great fireplace, when lit warms up the whole cottage. Had all the fixtures and utilities required to cook any type of meal. Very well resourced except no access to WIFI. Just be a bit careful getting in and out of shower as it is located in a high levelled bath. Really enjoyed our stay in this ‘great little cottage’.

Beautiful cottage and property

We were very impressed with the ‘cottage’ which is actually a full living space. Eclectic decorating really well done and very enjoyable. The patio off the front door is by the creek and beautiful as well as relaxing. We highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again one day.

Quirky Accommodation Close to the City Centre

This place is very original! There’s a stream running through a small cottage garden - and the inside is equally unusual with lots of ornaments and bric-à-brac adding to the character. Very convenient for the city centre with a local Woolworth supermarket also close.

Dunedin

Very comvenient location, all amenities including washer and dryer very useful, plenty of reading material included, semi-secluded location with available parking on site. Very enjoyable stay.

Quiet and surprisingly roomy

We enjoyed our stay in the brookside cottage — the beds are comfortable, the place is very quiet, and it’s homey but also surprisingly roomy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some simple meals, too. The cottage is a bit outside the city center of Dunedin, which wasn’t an issue for us because we had a car. Driving into the city center only took about 5-10 min.

Quaint little cottage

Brookside Cottage proved to be a great spot to unwind for a few days - central to where we needed to be, but quite private as well - would definitely stay there again.

Charming cottage

We really enjoyed our time here. It was relatively easy to get into town. The cottage was well-appointed with a good heating including a fireplace and firewood, and an excellent range of books.

Historic cottage

As described in listing. Lovely old cottage in Dunedin. Quite tricky entrance with car but you can park on street. Feels very much like a home from home. Everything you could possibly need is provided. Bed is super comfortable.

Dunedin at Christmas

Nice place, not too far from town (though not really walkable). A pretty garden with lots of flowers, birds and bumblebees, and the constant sound of the brook underneath. The only drawback is the close proximity to the road, which is rather busy, and a bit noisy if you’re a light sleeper.

Great little cottage

We enjoyed our stay. We arrived on one of Dunedin's coldest days, but once we got the fire and heat pump going everything warmed up. There were heaps of blankets for the beds and cosy flannel sheets. The kitchen is a good size and really well equipped. The owner was good to deal with.
