A cosy house in quiet cul-de-sac with great mountain views. Everything is within walking distance from our house including cafes and restaurants.
The house is modern and well maintained. Inside you have a powerful heat pump that will heat the room in minutes, saving you the trouble of starting the fire on those cold days. 3 x double rooms all with pillows and duvets, drawers and wardrobes. (please just bring your own sheets or sleeping bags and also towels) Large walk in drying room with dehumidifer to have your activity gear ready for the next days adventure. The kitchen is well equipped and has basic amenities. We have a dining table that will seat four and a 3 seater breakfast bar for the rest. Small BBQ is located in the bike shed - welcome to use!
Free view TV, however we have a sky satellite dish so take your decoder if you wish to watch sky. For those inside days we have a selection of board games and cards. Wifi available.
National Park Village borders the dual World Heritage Tongariro National Park (Tongariro Alpine Crossing) to the east and the Whanganui National Park to the West, in the middle of a true wilderness wonderland. Great place to stay while you on ski trip. House has everything you need, it’s warm( heat pump) ,clean and has fantastic dry room. Excellent communication with host. There is no dishwasher but it didn’t bother us. We would stay again.
Great stay, everything was clean, tidy, and well maintained. Heat pump was brilliant for keeping the place warm without having to fuss with a fire after a big day skiing, and the drying room had even completely saturated things dry and ready to go again the next day. Great to look out the window for the morning mountain weather report! Highly recommend, thanks so much!

Cleanliness could be better
The place was good, but in terms of cleanliness the windows had fungus, spider webs at lot of places plus there was no heat pump in the room nor electric blankets.

Apologies for the spider webs, yes they are outside & we clean the house in summer & spring & autumn just not winter - but they do annoyingly make webs on the corners.
Heatpump works well to all bedrooms if you close bathroom, toilet & drying room doors. A-shame we never heard from you during your stay could have given you helpful tips.
Hope these things didn’t wreck your holiday 😕
Great accomodation for our weekend trip to National Park to walk the Tongariro Crossing. The comfy couch and warm living room was a perfect setting to unwind after a day spent walking.
Great bach to stay in - Immaculately clean, well equipped kitchen and great drying room. Comfy beds and walking distance to cafe/restaurant. Would definitely stay again!
Our family stayed for 5 nights for a ski holiday.
The house had everything we needed, the drying room was great, and the kids loved the old school gaming console while stuck inside for one day with a blizzard. They loved waking up to snow outside the next day.
Close to the mountain in the National Park village with restaurants/cafes and a well stocked 4 square and petrol station nearby.
The owner was very good to communicate with and we had an enjoyable stay.
Very comfy home to stay in at National Park for ski holiday. Warm, clean, nice view of mountain from window. Easy to communicate with owner, good experience.
Close to snow facilities, enjoyable stay, excellent ‘dry’ room with everything that you need. For first time visitors to the area, be warned that there are not grocery shops in the area.

There is a 4 square at the petrol station where you can get supplies, although a little more expensive I wouldn’t do a full shop there!
