Ahipara Love Shack and Surfers Paradise

Perfect getaway all year round in the heart of Ahipara with the view of farmland, forestry and glimpse of the ocean. Wake up to sound of the surf, enjoy an early morning bike ride, see a dramatic sunset on the evening walk along the beach. Go fishing or relax in the hammock on the deck with a good book and a glass of wine.

Cute house with large flat section with 1 bedroom (queen bed) and a separate cabin (double bottom, single top bunk bed). Huge wrap around deck with tables and chairs, hammocks. Farmland, forestry and glimpse of the ocean views from the deck. Kids tree hut, sandpit and swings.

Special conditions:
We have medium size dog kennel. The section is not fully fenced. We can consider requests to bring along your pets but outside only.

No smoking inside.
Check in after 2pm and check out before 11am (can be flexible on request).
All above to be agreed prior the stay.

Cooking appliances: one induction hob, microwave, portable convection oven, outside BBQ.

They say it can accommodate 6 people, but the facilities are too insufficient, there is no Wi-Fi, the amenities are not as good as other places, and the price seems expensive compared to the facilities.

Cobwebs everywhere. Place was not freshly cleaned beforehand . Stray dogs and random kids that don't leave the premises during your stay. No drier in the shed as stated. Kids did like the horses.

Beautiful View

Our stay was great, the view is amazing and you can hear the ocean while you’re sleeping which is so relaxing. There is fun stuff to do around town aswell. We hired a quad bike from down the end of the street next to fish and chip shop Looks better then the photos

Gorgeous location

Lovely little spot, close enough to town but far enough away that you have peace. Check in was super smooth and communication was quick and clear. Would 100% stay again. Do be aware you might get woken up by the birds who have made a wee home in the roof 🐦

Kicking Back in Ahipara

Really private and quiet location, with beautiful views and very comfortable bed. If you're looking for posh, this is not your place, but if you're looking for ease and comfort and beautiful views, this is your place! And we brought our little dog so that was great! :)

Property was down a track that was not clearly signposted, leading to a grass area outside the property that had been used by the local dogs as a toilet. Gaining access to the keys was a simple process.The main cabin was tired and old, but relatively clean. All towels and bedding were clean and plentiful.The sleeping arrangements were misleading, the second bedroom was in a separate ‘shed’, so we opted to use the sofa bed for our 3rd person.The cleanliness of the accommodation was ok, but all surfaces felt sticky to the touch.We had extremely heavy rain overnight and were very pleased with how watertight the property was.Overall, for value, I guess it was ok, but unfortunately not a property I’d look at staying at again.

Best spot in Ahipara

Old school kiwi Bach, small and basic but everything you need. Beautiful views of the Maunga and the setting sun. This was our second year in a row and we’ll keep going back as long as we can!

A Hidden Gem

We stayed a week for the Snapper Bonanza on 90mile beach and found this little bach in Ahipara which was easy to access the beach, close to the shops perfect size for 2 of us, has pretty much everything you need! Awesome stay Hide your shoes and rubbish from local dogs 😊

We only stayed for one night. For the price we paid the accommodation was ok.neighborhood is a bit sketchy bu again for the price it was ok. The view were amazing and we did enjoyed having a glass of wine and watching the sunset.

Relaxing and away from the hussle and bussle

With no TV or Wifi it meant that there was plenty of time to relax, play games, wander the beach and and take a break from technology. A lovely wee relaxed place with all the basics covered and beautiful beach just a wander away.

Great communication, lovely clean house

Wonderful location and outlook and sweet wee house

The stay was good, and has a lovely feel to the property. We just spent quite a bit of time re-organising fridge and settings as it wasn't cold. Some areas weren't so clean, and place could do with plus detergent and a few other essentials. Cheers

Disappointing

Cabin was clean and tidy. Nice view. Warm . It was not clearly stated the sleeping arrangements. The bedrooms are completely separated in a seperate cabin. Mentioned wifi in the add but the day before were told there wasn’t any . Very basic and most of the cabin is old and wearing out. Over priced for what you get
