About this property

The Retreat, hidden away Chalet for two with a sunken bathtub

From the moment you access "The Retreat," you can't help but feel relaxed with stunning sea and rural views. Enjoy a BBQ on the expansive deck and soak away those worries in the sunken bathtub looking out to sea! Take a walk on the 45-acre property and enjoy the beautiful native bush and Rock formations. The Waipu Caves and The Waipu Caves Farmpark are just 5 minutes away providing a fantastic cave experience. You'll feel truly "wound down" after a stay at "The Retreat"!! The Lake is available to use for swimming or there is a dinghy, paddle board and Kayak available, just ask. The sunset was a photo I took one stunning evening! The property is approximately 8KM's from Waipu and 8.5Km's from the beautiful Uretiti Beach. There are Restaurants in Waipu and Waipu Cove including the famous McLeods Pizza Barn and Brewery! Go ahead, book now and get away for an exciting Northern weekend!

Short notice

This by far us an amazing little spot, absolutely stunning. Mark was such a lovely and welcoming host (even had some treats and breakfast items available) The cabin i think is quite romantic and with such short notice on trying to find accommodation that would allow pets i will definitely recommend the retreat. There is a small lake to use a paddleboard, dinghy and 2 kayaks (which are provided). We cannot wait to come back. Thanks again Mark ☻

This rural area is quite stunning with ocean views from many roads and beautiful native bush and limestone rock formations with the Waipu Caves very much a part of the area.

What makes this property unique

Stunning examples of Kauri and Puriri trees and amazing rock formations with fresh water streams make this a unique place to stay.
