clean apartment with fully stocked amenities such as shampoo, soaps , garbage bags etc… The only complaint is privacy. There are large windows over looking the lake with a private walk way and sitting area. The other units tended to walk through or stand in front of this units windows , too close for comfort .
We booked this location for the view and it did not disappoint - the views from the main area and bedroom are stunning!! Be aware that to stay here you need to be able to manage outside stairs and a tight parking space (if driving). Yuan was very responsive to my messages.
My wife and I stayed in this apartment for six nights during our visit to Queenstown. What a great view overlooking the lake! Apartment was well equipped which was important because we did cook a couple breakfasts in. Host was a great communicator and allowed us a late checkout on our final day. Loved the apartment and would definitely recommend.
The unit has a great location and an excellent view. The bed was a little hard for our liking, but you cant win them all with beds. Also, the unit is a downstairs unit, so the occasional noise from the neighbors happened. Neither the bed or doenstairs were a problem though. Just info for future guests. Overall, the spot was great, and id stay there again.
Property is about 5km out of town in a quiet location with good views. It is on a steep driveway with parking at the bottom and then a stairway of 15 steps down to the unit. Not necessarily a problem to all but be aware as is the only way in and out. There is access to the Frankton walking and cycling trail below but the path from the unit needs maintenance and especially improvement at the end for stepping on to the trail. Facilities are in good condition but lack instructions. Linen and towels need to be improved.

Hello,Overall, the house and its location are very good, and we appreciate being able to stay here. However, there is a major challenge inside the house. There appears to be a strong sewage smell, and the odor travels throughout the house. It is quite uncomfortable and concerning from a health point of view.We also noticed that access to the house may be difficult for people with mobility challenges, as it is not very easy to get in and out.In addition, the vacuum cleaner does not seem to work properly, as it doesn’t really suck when trying to vacuum the carpet.Because of these issues, I would find it difficult to recommend that others stay here.Thank you for your understanding.

Very disappointed in both STAYZ and Alan/Yuan the Apartment owner. Just prior to our arrival two bad reviews were posted , which included an offensive smell in the accomodation , that was not promptly or satisfactorily addressed. Stays was reachable in any form, and to this day we have not received any response regarding our pre visit email to Alan/ Yuan . We rebooked elsewhere. It’s probably reasonable value having gone inside, but a slight odour. Ceilings very low,and cheap lounge weirdly faces the wall , so you cant enjoy the somewhat ruined view in the flesh via 3 small windows. Also please paint the trashed door frames it really detracts.
This was a very disappointing place to stay for the price we paid. There is not enough heating and the place was dirty even the couch. The sheets on the bed looked stained and one of the towels had green stains maybe from bleach. I recommend the owners purchase brand new linen this property is overpriced. Being a kiwi paying that price I expected a lot better. It was a nice view and great being close to the lakeside walking and biking track.
As a BnB host myself, I know how hard it is to maintain a short term rental. This property had fantastic views! There were numerous stains on the carpet and sofa. Hair was all over the furniture, in the bedding and bathroom. The host requires guests to clean the kitchen entirely and take out trash. While these are minor concerns, it requires the guest a lot more time to clean with such an early check out time of 10am. As hosts, we never make our guests do the cleaning. We were very appreciative of the amenities for our little one! The property includes a portable pack n play and high chair. This was great.
Access to the property is tricky but not unusual for Queenstown. There was a serious issue with a sewage smell in the bathroom that happened when the toilet was flushed. We found alternative accommodation for the first night and returned the next day having been told the issue was fixed. Same thing happened. I was unwell and asked that issue be resolved the next day. The smell overnight was vile. Cleaners came on day 3 and finally the problem was resolved. The unit now smelled of bleach. Owner did not believe there was an issue after the first night. Very disappointed with owner's attitude and we ended up finding alternative accommodation. Still waiting for 1 night's accommodation to be refunded. No compensation for inconvenience. Overall a horrible experience.
The location is great with a view of Lake Wakatipu and the sunrise.Parking is okay but not the best as it is a shared driveway where we were told to park as close as possible to a tree fence. This made our back passenger hard to get on and off as well as luggage. The property is clean overall, but could do with cleaner and newer furniture, pots, pans and cutlery.Sounds and footsteps from our stairs does affect us and could be a nightmare for light sleepers. Strongly recommend earplugs.Overall, our stay was comfortable and convenient.
