A nice stay. Next door to a school but didn’t hear any noise. If more that a couple are staying, might be nice if the bathroom door locked. Overall a really nice place and comfortable. Super comfortable bed and sofas!

Hello Therese,Thank you so much for your great review! We loved having you. FYI, I am replacing the bathroom doorknobs. I had ordered the ones that's on there now from Amazon and didn't realize how awful they were! This time I picked up some nice ones from Lowes.
Overall we were satisfied with our stay, there was a minor hiccup with one of the rooms but the host left a nice note explaining everything. We Chose this home based on location and it fulfilled our needs. Back deck and fire pit were awesome, spacious kitchen for cooking and comfortable living area. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for your hospitality!

This home is old - and needs a lot of attention and updating. The photos are not representative of the actual property. I would not recommend or stay there again.

From the Owner: "I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay with us. We are always open to suggestions and ways to improve."
Our family had a wonderful stay at the yellow door house. We were in town for the Soap Box Derby and the house had everything we needed and was very clean. We brought our dog with us as well and she loved running around the big backyard. Bonus there was a small park right down the road. Of course traveling with kids we left some things at the house and the host graciously offered to mail our items to us. We will definitely stay at the yellow door house next time we are in town for soap box derby.

Stairs are no joke
Good. Appliances worked well. Wish there were more lights in the bedrooms and living room. The stairs are almost at a 90 degree angle and hard to navigate.

From the Owner: "Thank you for your feedback. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay. With the house being built in the 1860s, you are right about the stairs! But I love the charm of this house. If I could change anything about this home, it would be the staircase. I hope it does not deter you from coming back. Best regards, Lauraine VanOss"

Home for Christmas
In one word … perfect. Traveling with my 3 dogs makes finding a place that is quiet, private, and pet friendly (without multiple restrictions) very difficult. Look no further!! A cute, cozy house, big backyard, and plenty of privacy is what we wanted and what we got. The owner was very friendly, helpful and responsive to our questions. I’ll be sure to book this house again the next time I’m in town.

Extremely Unclean
There elwas dried vomit on the bedding in one of the rooms that absolutely smelled awful. We found dirty used socks in multiple places. There was trash under the coffee table. You can’t get a hold of owners, assuming an investment company owns this property. Experience was horrible and would never rent again.

Hi Aaron, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that’s clean, comfortable, and ready for their stay—so we take comments like this seriously. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- Cleanliness is incredibly important to us, and we personally care for the home ourselves. We've never received complaints like this before, and we were surprised by this review, as we didn’t hear from you during your stay and would’ve appreciated the chance to make things right.- Other guests have reached out to us with questions or requests during their stay, and we've always responded promptly to ensure they were taken care of.- We always encourage guests to reach out during their stay if anything is off We’re happy to help and want every guest to feel comfortable. Thanks for letting us know about your stay!
This is a nice, little house at a great price about 10 min North of downtown Ravenna. The house has lots of character as it's old, but well maintained. There's one bedroom on the first floor (bed is very soft and lighting is a little dark) and a bedroom and office with a futon on the second floor. The stairs to the 2nd floor are pretty steep. The bathroom has a decent amount of space with a walk-in shower (no tub) but does not have a shelf in the shower to put your toiletries on. 1 or 2 shelves would be most helpful. The living and dining rooms are nice and comfortable. As the bed on the first level was too soft for me, after a couple of nights, I slept on the couch (very comfortable) and when my sister arrived for the weekend, she slept in the 1st floor room, so really can't say anything about the comfort of the upstairs space. The kitchen is fine, but be aware that not all the cabinets latch closed, so you might knock your knee on a lower cabinet door a time or two. There is a toaster and it will work if you hold down the mechanism the entire time you want it to heat. The microwave is great and the stove works well. There is a small cutting board (too small for any serious cooking) and plenty of knives and silverware, pots and pans. Although it looked nice, we didn't have time to enjoy the backyard. The house is right next to a business and across the street from a auto shop. Overall it's a nice place near Ravenna.

Hi Anne, we're delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found the home both charming and comfortable. We take great pride in maintaining the property and truly appreciate your kind feedback. Our sincere apologies for the missing shower shelf—it had been removed for cleaning and was regrettably not returned in time for your visit. We’ve also upgraded the toaster to a four-slice model to offer added convenience. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to welcome you back in the future.
