The area is great, the dock has a great view but does get quite rough so just be prepared for that. Idk why no one mentioned they use well water so the toilets and showers are stained yellow and the water smells like egg farts. We ordered cases of water after realizing but you still have to use the smelly water for hygiene. I feel like that needs to be more up front in a vacation home posting. Kayaks are provided but they are not in great shape - and were absolutely riddled with bird poop and spider webs so we did not utilize them which was a bummer. Also be aware that the sloped path down to the water is STEEP. One of our party fell and hurt their knee the first night (light switch for the path lights is hidden behind a lamp in the living room??). Also the coffee maker was dirty upon arrival and very hard to use without getting LOTS of grounds in it. The property is well maintained and our host contact was very kind and responsive. There are additional check out instructions posted in the home and I find that misleading.

The property does run on well water, and we are actively working with the HOA to resolve the odor and staining issues. We have also addressed the kayak maintenance with our team and ensure they are thoroughly cleaned between stays. For safety, the outdoor path light switches are labeled and located right next to the back door, and we apologize for the fall your guest experienced. We have also followed up with our cleaning crew regarding the coffee maker to ensure our high cleanliness standards are met. Thank you for helping us improve future stays.

The house was fantastic, though the garbage needed to be taken out and the animals had gotten into it. That, though was more so a testament to the previous tenants.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first time to Ozarks and staying at this beautiful home. The pictures don’t disappoint. We enjoyed mornings in the sun room sipping coffee and watching the boats go by. Our family ages rang from 2-55 and the house was perfect for us all. Great location to state parks, Osage and Sunrise beaches, and a boat rental is nearby. We had just a few questions and Vickie was quick to respond.

Lovely home

This was a lovely home, and a great location. The internet didn't work the whole weekend and the host did not respond to a voicemail or text, so no tv or , and we had to use our data.

Thanksgiving

This property was exactly as it was listed. We are a family of 5 adults that takes a Thanksgiving trip every year and this home is now one of our favorites. The view was spectacular from the sun room and that was where we ended up spending a lot of our time. The kitchen was so well stocked and had "extras" that a lot of places don't. There were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows that everyone was very comfortable. I can't recommend staying here enough!

Fantastic house but...

This house is great, looks just like the pics. Perfect location, comfy beds, good kitchen with everything you need, great dock with lots of seating and lily pad, close to fun activities. We rent a house every summer at Lake of the Ozarks so we're used to well water BUT this house's water was damned near unbearable. The stink of sulfur and iron was disgusting. None of us took showers or did laundry. The bathrooms all had nasty rust stains on the toilet/tub and doing dishes was nauseating. The owners left some bottled water but we had to go buy gallons to wash faces/brush teeth as well as drink. This house needs a filtration system (or a better one). Literally everything else about this place was perfect BUT we crossed this off our list to return.

Nice place...small inconveniences.

Overall the house was very nice and we enjoyed being there. The pictures of the outside front are a bit deceiving, the road to the house is a steep down hill while the driveway was an uphill in the opposite direction ( think V shaped )...if we just had cars it would not have been much of an issue but a truck and trailer were a bit tricky. Also, we brought motorcycles and the only way to get in and out of the driveway was to go to the bottom of the street and then around as to not tip over on the motorcycles. The front door lock was very finicky and would take several tries to lock and unlock it. The central air thermostat would automatically go to 80 degrees when nobody was moving around the house, we came back to uncomfortable warm house almost every day. The light switches were well marked but very poorly placed, and several times we navigated dark stairs to get downstairs as we didn't want to leave lights on upstairs. The remotes for the ceiling fan/light should be mounted near the switch that powers them as it was a day before we noticed them. Other than these small inconveniences the house was as expected.
