Very good

Really enjoyed my stay. Very comfortable for 4 adults, we all had our own room. The external stairs between the upper and lower levels are well lit when it's dark. Everything needed was provided and communication was very easy with the owners. The location is great, an easy walk into Rye and the beach is at the end of the road. Would recommend!

The house had spider webs everywhere. No access to back yard so we had to improvise with gazebo at the front of the house which was not private at all. On the ground floor we couldn't open window or back door for fresh air. The Kitchen upstairs and the kitchenette downstairs were not equipped to cook.

Diana,
I refute All of your comments and claims, and is evident and obvious that you did not read our House Rules and Property description specifying the layout of the property including all amenities and facilities.
We take pride in the space we offer our guests, it is newly renovated and super clean and certainly is not full of cobwebs as you stated.
The kitchen and kitchenette are 100 percent fully functional and don't understand your comment.
Our House Rules stipulate that our house is not to be used to party however, you disregarded this. Your group set up what appeared to be a camp site at the front of the house with a gazebo set up and a BBQ in the front space, a BBQ was provided for guests on the front deck. Your group was extremely loud with a boombox positioned at the front playing excessively loud music to the extent that at 1.30am had to send you a message to turn off as it was against local authorities noise guidelines and complaint by neighbour was also had.
Rubbish bags were left on ground beside rubbish bins that were full, we advised that you would need to remove the excess rubbish on check-out however you chose to force these bags of rubbish into the bins which were overflowing.
Other issues as follows,
Upon check out found that a new quilt stored in robe together with a quality basin plug were missing, we asked you via messaging to check if you had picked up accidentally.
A tile was broken on the balcony floor by the entrance door.
Two external security cam
Very clean pretty much everything brand-new very close to the beach as well as restaurants ,the carnival, which made it very easy with the kids. We had so much fun. The owner is very easy to communicate and very welcoming. We will definitely be back.
We had two families with teens and little kids stay in this property. There was definitely enough room for everyone. The upstairs and downstairs of the property are two seperate apartments connected by stairs on the outside of property. Other than a small table on the balcony there isn’t really a place to sit outside. The location is perfect with a two minute walk to the cleanest beach on the peninsula! It’s also only a 15 minute walk to the Rye main drag. The owner Alf was easy to deal with and very accomodating. Would definitely stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Alf Bonnar
I am a retired builder and like nothing better than to go for a swim or walk anytime that I choose, whether I am working at home or simply needing to relax by the water. My country of birth is Malta and living here reminds me of home surrounded by water, walking paths and an easy walk to most of what the area has to offer.
Why they chose this property
I moved here permanently in 2016 after living in the hub of Melbourne, the area is unique in that it is quiet and relaxing to be here and do anything I wish with ease. I no longer miss the crazy hustle and bustle of the city.
What makes this property unique
The property is literally a two minute walk to the beach which is at the end of our street, the shoreline is lined with unique and colorful beach boxes. The beach is the cleanest on the entire coastline and an easy walk to Blairgowrie and Sorrento along the waters edge or by track alongside the shoreline.
