Dreamy location in Santa Fe

This was our 2nd stay and it was just as perfect as our first. It’s the loveliest dome home with stellar views and incredible walking paths right out the door. A definite must book location that is close to everything while allowing for privacy and peace.

A great getaway

We were only in Santa Fe for 2 nights and this was the perfect place for us! The view was incredible, it was so quiet, and easy to get to places around town. We really loved staying here!

Great stay at the Dome!

We had a great visit in Santa Fe at this lovely place! Hosts were very gracious and the house was very comfortable. We had great walks on the trail trail and loved the peace and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Santa Fe Dream Dome

Jay and Geraldine's wonderful dome is our favorite of all the places we've stayed over the years. It is a peaceful and quiet location with beautiful views and walking trails, impeccably and tastefully furnished, supplied with all modern conveniences, and with the most generous and accommodating hosts--there's nothing more to wish for in a home away from home.

Beautiful getaway from hustle and bustle

The property was perfect for our needs. The commitment to recycling is commendable. With both wifi and nearby trails, we were able to enjoyably split our time between hiking, board games, streaming, and video games for a perfect vacation.

At home in the dome!

I immediately felt a warm welcome from the hosts, Jay and Geraldine. The location is exquisite with gorgeous views and the dome is very comfortable, private and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is a perfect location to explore Santa Fe and its surroundings.

Peaceful and beautiful

Quirky little building with fantastic views. The inside was very clean and well maintained. Lots of art work and interesting sculptures. Beautiful views of the Sandia mountain range. We had a pleasant stay and would certainly come back. The owners Jay and Geraldine are wonderful people. They made the stay that much more enjoyable.

Wonderful, peaceful getaway

This is a magical property, very comfortable and well maintained. We enjoyed early morning hikes on the Rail Trail, just steps from our door. The views of the Jemez mountains are stunning; we could spend hours just watching the sky change from the expansive windows. Fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, and the house is filled with artistic touches. Communications with our hosts were outstanding.

Home away from home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the dome house. J & G are some of, if not the very best hosts I’ve had pleasure of staying with. Their home is filled with their own art and is very well equipped. They were kind enough to give us a tour of their studio as well. Property is tranquilly located at a dead end providing plenty of privacy. Also conveniently located near nice walking trails. We’ll be calling J & G again on our next trip to Santa Fe.

Best short-term rental ever

This is the home of the hosts working artists with studio on the property. They move into a nearby, smaller dome when this is booked. They are nearby, but never an obtrusive presence. Delightful, helpful, responsive, kind, and generous. Their home is tastefully furnished, totally comfortable, better equipped than any rental where I have stayed before. (I have stayed in many). I would stay here again and again. Friends who live in Santa Fe who saw the property wanted details so they could have visitors stay there. Love at first sight and for the rest of my ten days there.

Mind-Blowing Views and Kindest Hosts

It's difficult to put into words how stunningly beautiful this property is, and just how kind and down-to-earth the hosts are. We stayed 10 days (my husband, myself, and our 5 year old daughter). We originally planned to bring our dog, and the hosts were fine with that. We didn't end up bringing her because it was so hot and she's an older pup. Regardless, Jay and Geraldine are so gracious. They met us upon arrival, ensured we had all we needed, and that we were comfortable with the place. They asked ahead of time if we liked coffee. They provided gourmet coffee, cream, and even ice cream for our daughter. The house is beautiful inside and out, with amazing views of the mountains. Our daughter loved the loft area (though we didn't use the space). THere's plentiful room for storing your stuff. The place is spotless. And, what a novel place to be! I would recommend this to anyone -- it's a perfect spot for 2-3 people, and even a pup. We WILL be back!

Fun, unique space with a stunning backdrop!

My family and I stayed at Jay's geodesic dome in early October, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The dome is so fun and unique, and unexpectedly spacious inside. Jay has done a beautiful job furnishing and decorating the space, and his hospitality was bar none. We arrived very late in the evening and he had fully made up the pull out bed for my son. He even had breakfast of Trader Joe's granola, apples and peanut butter, and fresh ground organic coffee in the refrigerator with oatmilk for me (he asked me what kind of milk I drink). His selection of teas is glorious and our family enjoyed a pot of tea while playing games one evening. Jay gave some lovely recommendations about where to eat and what to do, guided us to the children's museum on a rainy day which my kiddo loved. We spent an evening just enjoying the amazing sunset and panoramic views, and a slower pace of life. We would absolutely return, Santa Fe is such a beautiful city rich in history and culture, and so much to explore. Thank you, Jay, for sharing your space with us, and making us feel so welcome and comfortable.

This place is magical. This is our sixth time booking this fantastic space and that speaks for itself. The hosts Geraldine and Jay are not only excellent caretakers of the dome and its guests, they have become dear friends to us. If you want a balance of beautiful solitude and being minutes away by car from all that Santa Fe has to offer, this place is perfect. We are thankful to have found this place.

Terrific, quiet, unique property with friendly, amazing hosts. The geodome sits on a dead-end road so you have peace and quiet. The sunsets, animal sightings and trail can’t be beat. Everything we needed was provided and we had a wonderful, relaxing time. Only 15 minutes to Santa Fe and 1 hour from Albuquerque. Would definitely stay again on another trip to the desert.

Love Staying in the Dome!

I had a wonderful stay at Jay and Geraldine's dome. It was beautiful inside and out and a great experience to stay in such a unique structure. I loved all of the artwork and curated items in the home and the absolutely beautiful plants - the jade tree was spectacular! The view was reason enough to stay there with the train tracks and a trail right at your feet but the view from the long horizontal windows inside was also breathtaking. It was a great location, at the end of a long road so it was quiet, but it was also a quick drive to anywhere in Santa Fe you wanted to explore. I met Jay and Geraldine the morning I was leaving, and they were warm, kind and lovely to talk with.

A meditative wowsa!

This home is wonderful- comfortable, quiet, clean and well appointed and the hosts are kind and thoughtful. Come here if you want a calm and soothing atmosphere. The walking trail is great and it’s right outside the property. Please don’t come when I want to be there. :)
