Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Overall, we were disappointed with our stay and would not choose this property again, especially for the price we paid.Before arriving, we never received check-in or check-out instructions and had to contact the host to get the door code. In addition, the GPS directions provided led us off the road and into the woods, making arrival more difficult than it should have been.Upon arrival, there was poison ivy growing along the walkway to the front door, which is a significant safety concern. The outdoor couch was also very dirty and not inviting to use.Inside, the downstairs bedroom had a very strong black mold smell that made the room unpleasant. There were three nearly empty toilet paper rolls left sitting out instead of providing a fresh roll, which gave the impression that the home had not been thoughtfully prepared for guests. We also found cleaning chemicals left within easy reach of children, which was concerning for families.The front door was difficult to lock, and the door frame itself did not appear secure, leaving us uncomfortable about the property's security.The listing was also misleading. The photos did not accurately reflect how unfinished the property looked in person. For the price, we expected a much better-maintained and better-equipped rental. Even the towels and washcloths were old, mismatched, and ready to be replaced.Overall, we felt the property was significantly overpriced for what was offered.
