We loved the location of the property. Far enough away that we felt that we had space but not too far of a drive from all of the happenings in town. The house was clean and well cared for. The stairs inside are quite narrow and could be hard for people to manage but otherwise, everything was great. We would come back and

From the Owner: "Hi Charlsye, Thank you so much for your great review! We were grateful you chose to stay with us, and are so happy to hear y'all loved your time and the location of our peaceful mountain escape. We love the same things about our home: we feel removed from town and have a lot of privacy and peace, but also just a short drive from everything Durango has to offer, as you mentioned. We understand the spiral staircase is somewhat narrow and do not try to hide that in our listing. The home doesn't have the most space and the only option for stairs to work was to utilize the spiral option. Thank you again for staying with us, and we sure hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!"
- internet was terrible , only able to stream , no live tv - both toilets were gross upstairs & downstairs - freezer or fridge makes terrible loud noise every 30-45 mins - house had a strong mildew smell - need exterminator to spray outside house & deck area , tons of wasps or hornets - exterior screen doors don’t shut tightly , allowing lady bugs & wasps inside - we left a day early , didn’t want to be in the house anymore - was never emailed check-in details when told , had to call

From the owner: Thank you for submitting your review. We are sorry to hear that your experience was disappointing. We were surprised to read your feedback regarding the internet, the alleged mildew smell, cleanliness issues (dirty toilets), and the presence of ladybugs, wasps, and a refrigerator issue, as you are the first guest to report most of these items. We were also unsure why neither you nor anyone in your group contacted our designated guest contact or Evolve during your stay to report these concerns, or to inform us that you chose to check out a night early. Had the experience been as unpleasant as described, we would have expected a guest to reach out immediately so that we could have worked to address any problems while you were in residence. Finally, we want to clarify that the process for check-in instructions is handled by Evolve, which distributes the welcome message provided by our guest contact to every guest. We do not feel this specific item should negatively reflect on our property's management. We are currently assessing how to move forward to address the issues you noted."Thank you,
