About the host
Hosted by James Ward
I am a retired military officer now on a second career! I was born here in San Diego, and following my service to our nation, returned to this fantastic city! I was a helicopter pilot, and now work for the government in an aviation safety role. I was fortunate enough to purchase this great 1946 home with a fantastic location - Coronado is one of the most highly sought-after areas in the country - and for good reasons! This is a new venture for me, and I am excited at the prospect of sharing this paradise with others!
Why they chose this property
If you love amazing weather, very few bugs, low humidity, a light ocean breeze, and frequent trips to the beach, then Coronado is the spot for you! This small apartment is on the ground floor of my home, and I live on the second floor. This rental is centrally located in the Coronado village, only 3.5 blocks from Coronado Beach, 7 blocks to the Ferry that can take you into downtown San Diego, 5 blocks to the golf course, 4 blocks to Glorietta Bay, and minutes walk to grocery, pharmacy, eateries, and more!
What makes this property unique
This property is in an ideal location on Coronado. Close to all the amenities, but far enough away that crowd and traffic noise on "the strip" will not bother you. You can choose to enjoy the solitude of a fenced, gated yard, or stroll to the restaurants and beach attractions. While this property does not have ocean views, you can take a quick walk to the beach to watch the sunset over the Pacific, watch Sunrise over the Bay, or take a short ferry (or bridge) trip across the bay to "America's Finest City." Walk the many streets of Coronado and admire the many flower gardens and widely varied style of beautiful homes!
