Deluxe 2 Bedroom, ground floor unit with it's own grassed yard so you can bring your little dog (under 10kgs & with pre-approval). It is a short 620m walk to the centre of Port Douglas, 500m to 4 mile beach, 800m to the marina, 100m to the tennis courts/pickleball court and 100m to the sport field. Wake up, make a coffee with the supplied machine & beans, sit out the front and enjoy the morning sunshine and garden then swim in the complex pool, rinse off in your own outdoor shower use the supplied beach towels. No car necessary to get around Port Douglas but a car port is available for your use.
The space: Two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the main with a large king bed - bliss!! A babies cot is available on request, no extra charge, we suggest you bring your own cot sheets. The main bedroom has a desk for you to work from home on your laptop if required. There is a large 56" smart TV in the lounge as well as a personal TV in the main bedroom. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the unit as well as new air conditioners in both bedrooms and fans in every room. The fully equipped kitchen has all the basics you need to start your holiday, including milk & some fruit. If you don't feel like eating out, do your own cooking and dine in. The bathroom is equipt with a washing machine, hairdryer, and some basics for your use - shampoo/conditioner, body wash, washing pouches as well as supplied bath towels. Outside in your own grassed yard is a weber BBQ and dining area to enjoy the wonderful nights in your courtyard. The complex pool is for you to enjoy between 7am-10pm, beach towels provided, and your very own outdoor shower.
Other things to note: Your little dog is very welcome, there will be a dog bed provided as well as clean up bags (we appreciate if you pick up after your pet) and water/food bowls. If you are visiting with your dog there is a one off cleaning fee of $150.00 per visit which will be added to the booking price.
If you are looking to stay for a few months in this wonderful part of Australia we would be happy to offer a special price, just let us know and we will look at the bookings - but be quick as the calendar does book up. For bookings over 10 days we offer a once weekly service which is a change of sheets & towels, cleaning of the bathoom & kitchen and a general spruce up.

Fantastic place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay at Tropic Gardens. Location was great - an easy 5-10 minutes walk to the flags at 4 Mile Beach and also the main St.; but far enough away to feel private and secluded. The unit had everything we needed and more. The fruit, tim tams and coffee were great extra touches. Would happily recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Tropic Gardens! The Apartment is spacious, tastefully decorated and equipped with really everything you might desire, from beach towels, to useful kitchen utentils and Yoga mats. Check in was flawless and easy and upon arrival we had fresh fruits, milk and a nice bottle of chilled wine waiting for us. We also put the Webber grill to good use! Thanks so much !

My husband and I come and go from this property as we visit our kids and grandchildren in NSW quite regularly. The unit was purchased as part of a 'retirement' lifestyle for us in a beautiful part of Australia so when we aren't in Port Douglas we thought we would share our tropical paradise with others visiting the area. We also chose to allow small dogs as guests as we are dog lovers.
Why they chose this property
Port Douglas is a Tropical Paradise that offers a wide range of lifestyle choices. We walk to the coffee shop just up the road in town each morning, we walk on the beach each afternoon. The restaurants are within walking distance, we have many friends in the area and althought the weather is seasonal, it is always warm.
What makes this property unique
This property in Mudlo Street is quite unique as it has its own fenced yard with beautiful green grass. We ourselves own a little chihuahua, Sam, and we have in the past found it hard to find accommodation so we offer our unit as pet-friendly to small dogs so that they can have a holiday as well.
