My host was wonderful. This is a great house. It is comfortable, well appointed and relaxing. The house has had some first class renovations done. It is sparkling clean. Beds are comfortable. The home is beautifully furnished true to the era from which it comes.I strongly recommend checking out this property when in Roanoke.

Enjoyed our stay
Beautiful old home with lots of charm and character. Linens were clean, kitchen well equipped, and the back patio area was wonderful. I would stay here again!
Inside was nice and clean, fun older home with lots of different rooms. Beds were comfortable and had nice linens. Outside needed attention- front n back. Better lighting in the front with house # more visible would be good. We enjoyed our stay and exploring Roanoke.

Inside was nice and clean outside needs attention. A gas Grill would be a good idea to have as an option. We definitely needed more plates and silverware in the kitchen . AC worked great no issues here. Overall a good stay

Hi Vienia, we’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and the comforts of the home’s interior. Many guests have also appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and the ample plates and silverware provided to comfortably accommodate the maximum number of visitors. While we don’t currently offer a gas grill, we truly appreciate your thoughtful suggestion. The backyard is carefully maintained and offers inviting seating for relaxation. The front yard, shaded by a beautiful magnolia tree, is regularly tended every two weeks; however, its steep slope makes it less suitable for seating. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your stay.

Room climate was fine, the kitchen lacked enough utensils and crockery for 4 people to have more than one meal.Eg - only 4 cereal/dessert bowls.Only 3 wine glassesNo kettle but 2 coffee machines so we used a pan to boil water! No iron or ironing board! One sofa and 2 chairs, would benefit from another sofa. The furniture is not enough for 6 people which the house can accommodate. It's a lovely big house in need of some TLC.

We’re glad you enjoyed the size of the home and appreciate your feedback. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your review, and they wanted to share the following:- We do provide full dinnerware, utensils, and wine glasses for six guests, and our local hostess double-checked to confirm everything is in place.- While we don’t provide a kettle, we do list the available coffee makers in the property description so guests can plan ahead.- Our living area includes a large, rounded sofa that seats four comfortably, along with six additional chairs between the dining and living spaces — all shown clearly in the listing photos.- We wish we had known about your concerns during your stay, as our local hostess is very responsive and would have been happy to assist in real time. Thanks again for your comments — we always want to create the best experience possible and appreciate the opportunity to clarify for future guests.
Older home in quiet neighborhood very close to the city. We had a great stay since this home allowed us to bring dogs, but there were several small issues that a renter should be aware. PROs: The inside of the home was very clean. Beds were comfy. Lots of space. Host was awesome with communication! CONs: Outside patio was not very clean. Yard is fenced, but sections are less than 3 feet high; we would not let our big dogs off the leash. Driveway is very, very steep. Upstairs floor boards creaked and kept light sleepers awake. Not enough electric outlets in bedrooms for techy folks.Would we stay again? Yes, but only if we were bringing dogs.
