Take a scenic drive just minutes from your cozy vacation home down Santa Rosa Island to Fort Pickens, a historic defense fort established in the early 1800s. Those of all ages will love wandering through the multiple enduring corridors with rich stories to tell in this national park.

Downtown Pensacola will without a doubt charm you with its continuously emerging shopping, dining, nightlife, and historical experience opportunities. Kids will love the open spaces and playground areas, delicious candy shops, as well as fun museums. Catch a Blue Wahoos minor league baseball game or an Ice Flyers hockey game. Good: really close to the beach, nice area, clean, everything works, freshly painted. Dog treat on a table was a really welcoming touch.Mixed: some areas show it's age, pool is very nice, but could be cleanerThe house is especially good for extended families as there is a separate suite downstairs.

Close to Beach, Poor Communication from Management Company

Overall this property is an excellent location. Close to the beach and a great pool. Unfortunately the communication with the management company was not ideal. Less than 24 hours before we arrived they notified us the dryer was not working and it would be fixed a few days into our stay. I had to request additional towels and ask about repair timing. More proactive communication was needed.

We had a wonderful stay at this property in Pensacola. The hosts were incredibly welcoming to both us and our dog, which made the trip even more enjoyable. They had everything we needed at the house to the point that I realized I had overpacked.The location is excellent. It is easy to get around the area and very close to dog friendly beaches, which was perfect for us. We brought our 110 lb German Shepherd and the home was very comfortable for the three of us, while still being large enough that it would easily accommodate additional guests.The house itself had a few small quirks, but for the price it was absolutely perfect. Everything was clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.The pool area was nice, but it is not heated and the water was extremely cold, so it was unfortunately unusable during our visit. We are from Minnesota and even we could not handle that temperature.The WiFi and DVD player were not working during our stay, but it honestly did not impact our experience.One thing that really stood out was the property management company. The home is managed by a separate team and they were some of the sweetest and most helpful people we have dealt with while traveling. We have friends in the area and plan to come back, and we will absolutely look to book another property that they manage.Overall this was a fantastic experience for us and our dog. We would absolutely stay here again. 5 out of 5 stars.
