We had a great stay! The house had all the amenities we needed and more. My wife and two kids had plenty of room to spread out, and the house was very quiet and comfortable. The carport came in handy as it was raining heavily the day we arrived. We enjoyed using the kitchen to cook while we were there, and the hot tub was great to relax in after a day of hiking in the park. Honestly my only complaint is that we didn't stay here longer!

Nice house but needs upkeep
We wish we had known that the only potable water was in a cooler system. It was a bit awkward. Also, the house could use a thorough cleaning. Loved the location and having the hot tub for those cool rainy days.

We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the home’s location and the hot tub, especially on those cool, rainy island days! We’re sorry to hear that some aspects of the stay caught you off guard, and appreciate you sharing your feedback. After following up with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:
- Homes in this area of the Big Island use great, sustainable rainwater catchment systems rather than mainland-style city water systems. These systems collect rainwater from the home’s roof and are designed to provide a natural, environmentally friendly water source. There are local companies on the island that specialize in servicing and maintaining these systems to keep them operating properly.
- The system includes three filtration stages, including a UV filter, to help ensure the water is safe for household use. For added peace of mind, the homeowner also provides drinking water in a cooler system so guests have an additional option during their stay.
- The homeowner appreciates your comments about cleanliness and will work with the cleaning team to ensure the home receives the thorough attention it deserves before future guest arrivals.
Thanks for letting us know about your stay! We hope you enjoyed your trip to this beautiful island!
The property was very nice and we had a lovely one-night stay When we arrived after the check-in time, the housekeeper was running a bit behind but was very gracious in allowing us to load our belongings into the house while they were still cleaning/making the beds There were a few minor repairs needed on the property (a cabinet handle in the bathroom fell off and the mirror doors in the master bedroom need some upgrades with the door tracks, but very MINOR things (just things that need a little TLC) We absolutely LOVED THE HOTTUB, and you definitely feel like you are “floating” in the jungle with all the beautiful hapu ferns and Ohia trees surrounding this unique and lovely home Thank you sooo much for hosting us!!!
This house is roomy, quiet and comfortable. The hot tub came in handy after a long day of hiking. We ate our meals in. The kitchen was equipped with everything that you would need.
