About the host
Hosted by Christine Mercer
My name is Christine. I am a retired fitness facility manager from Auckland NZ. I love Algies Bay because it is my get away place where I can relax, take in the beautiful surroundings. I enjoy walking and Algies Bay is the perfect location with great walks right from the door step.
I am enjoying hosting. It is great to get to know the guests and do everything possible to make their stay enjoyable. Guests show their appreciation in their great reviews and that is a really good feeling.
My husband Craig and I have owned the property for over 20 years. Craig loves fishing and Algies Bay has an all tide boat ramp which suits him perfectly.

Why they chose this property
We chose Algies Bay because of the all tide boat ramp and we loved the setting with the amazing sea views. Our property has changed over the years and we enjoy making ongoing improvements that enhance guests stays.
The area has changed over time and nearby Snells Beach has a great new supermarket, as well as several cafes, chemists, bakeries, restaurants, takeaways, which make it convenient for holiday makers.

What makes this property unique
Our property is 2.5 stories, which makes it stand out. Great sea views from most upstairs and downstairs rooms. It has 2 lounges, 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and decks both front & back. There is plenty of space which guests have enjoyed and appreciated. The rear garden is elevated with magnificent views out to Kawau Island. There is a seat where guests can sit and take it all in. In summer the house is definitely an outdoors space. The covered deck upstairs allows for outside living without excessive exposure to the suns rays.
