Take the red streetcar line up Canal to the Cemeteries (Mid-City’s dead neighbors are as interesting as the live ones) or bike the new 2.6-mile-long Lafitte Greenway that stretches from Basin Street to Carrollton Avenue and, conveniently, past a po’ boy shop or two – or 17 – with a sno-ball shop and a micro-brewery thrown in for good measure. Original high ceilings and tall windows define the interior, flooding each room with natural light and giving the home its distinctly New Orleans soul. The walk-through shotgun layout - true to the city's architectural tradition - creates a flowing, open feel from front to back. A ceiling fan keeps the air moving, and the combination of air conditioning and heating ensures comfort through every season.
 
Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms are arranged along the home's classic shotgun floor plan, sleeping up to six guests comfortably. Each room is furnished with a bed dressed in quality linens, alongside dressers and luggage racks so settling in feels effortless. Two full bathrooms serve the home, one featuring a bathtub - a welcome way to unwind after a full day in the city.
 
Kitchen & dining
The newly remodeled kitchen is fully set up for home cooking, with a stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and all the cooking basics. Wine glasses, a toaster, a baking sheet, and a coffee maker round out the setup. Pull up a chair at the dining table with your morning coffee before heading out to explore - or bring back local provisions and cook in.
 
Outdoor living
The front porch is a quiet spot to ease into the morning, while the large, shared fenced backyard offers room to spread out and unwind. Outdoor furniture and a fire pit make it easy to linger into the evening, and free street parking means coming and going on your own schedule.
 
Amenities
The home is well-stocked for a comfortable stay - washer and dryer, hair dryer, iron, hangers, extra pillows and blankets, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and shower gel are all provided. A TV and fast Wi-Fi keep you connected and entertained, and safety essentials including smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit are on-site. Self check-in via smart lock makes arrival smooth at any hour. There is also an Ethernet connection available for those who need a wired connection.
